Hello, my name is Victoria Dallon. Antares when flying around trying to solve more problem than I might cause.

I've noticed that there is a relatively high population of capes around, or "superheroes" if you want to make extra sure your allegiances are clear. Supervillains too, I would assume? Whatever, I don't think anyone's that stupid to be trying to make something of villainous takeover.

At any rate, I've noticed that this place isn't really high on crime, and that every now and then we're going to be tested in one way or another. For that reason, I was wondering if people would be interested in making something of a support/tutelage group for capes? I was in something along those lines back home, and it helped me a great deal. We're lacking an actual cape therapist here, but I think we could still arrange drills and excersises to keep our powers and dynamics honed. And a space to talk about freely, too, because sometimes you just need someone that can listen and undertand, right?

I'm particularly interested in those that are either underage or whereabouts, since the older ones are most likely more experienced and don't really need this kind of thing as much.

So yeah, let me know if you would be interested in doing something of a little meet and greet to see if there's enough interest to get a group going.

If anything it will help us more active types to not go totally insane, I'd think.

i'm sure it's great for the right person.

the only death sentence is being unprepared and unsupported. assuming someone without powers is incapable of kicking your ass is a great way to get more than just your ego bruised, antares.

I'm more of the opinion that everyone could use therapy, hero or not.

People without powers being involved in the hero business is unheard of in my world, but I'm learning that apparently it does happen elsewhere. So yeah, come surprise me.

why, so the people you're looking to exclude from being able to defend themselves and work alongside everyone else gets to process why they're being excluded?

sounds like a narrow definition of hero.

I already said I'm open to see people without powers join up, it's not a big deal. I'm just explaining to you why I wrote it that way. Different worlds, different ways things happen.

Fuck off then, you add nothing to this conversation if all you want to do is complain and then say you don't even want to help.

i've led teams before. taught them to work together, like what you're suggesting. done it against the better judgment of people that'd call themselves my peers too, because the thing is, something like this isn't built on preconceptions. people surprise each other all the time but the only time it's worth anything, the only time it's a good thing is when you're asking them to be better, to prove themselves to themselves. not to someone that expects nothing of them. that's my problem with all of this.

proving ourselves to each other is the last thing anyone here should be spending their time doing because none of us are the bad guys.

and keep in mind: it says a lot about your leadership abilities if your response to being challenged is to tell someone to fuck off.

Once there's enough interest I'll arrange an initial meet to see what are we working with.

You can come and lend a hand if you wish. I don't want to keep wasting time arguing with someone I don't even know.

Yeah. It's not easy and it's not a one person effort, which is why I appreciate people offering help.

The whole "I don't have powers and I'm offended" bit isn't really doing anyone any favors though.

well. by definition it's a team effort.

i'm not offended, i'm just not into splinter groups. been there, done that, i know how it ends — and that's not with the bad guys losing, for what it's worth.

if you really want to do this, speak to kate bishop. she's the more youth-friendly hawkeye in the city. got a clubhouse and everything.

That was not my intention. I've said it a bunch of times already, but in my world nobody without powers are doing hero stuff, so it never even crossed my mind when I made this post, and I think I have a right to remain sceptic, but willing to be convinced otherwise.

And I'll do that. I'd appreciate if you can also tell her about this, too.

yeah, maybe stick to calling them capes if you're gonna be so insistent on what is and isn't a hero.

some of the best people i know don't have superpowers. being a "cape"'s got nothing to do with being a hero in and of itself.

I'm talking in my terms, and learning new terms. No need to get all mad about people coming from completely different worlds. I'm learning, you could try to do the same.

So get over it already and focus on what matters.

Help people, make sure everyone is ready for whatever we have to deal with, make new connections, friends even? Make being in this place a bit more bearable.
