It means some people are all too eager to poke someone with the nearest sharp implement to hand and call it medicine.

Someone I know had something in their eye. A man who thought he was being helpful offered to get it out by inserting an oversized needle into their eye socket.

It didn't turn out as badly as it might have, all things considered.

Are you a healer?

I wouldn't call myself a healer. At least not in the professional sense or in that other sense you mentioned earlier.

That depends on how one defines 'long-suffering.' This problem hasn't befallen me today, if that's what you're asking, but I'd happily be rid of it today if I could.

It's been of concern for two or three months, more or less. It's urgent in that it could take a turn for the worse with very little warning.

i'm very confident in my healing, even though i guess it's a...hobby?

What sorts of ailments can you heal? I'm looking for something a little more powerful than curing a fever or closing a wound.

i'm not gonna do that though. i use magic. no needle or anything required.
as far as what i heal? all kinds. i mean, it's usually closing wounds, but it depends, i guess.

it'd be easier if i could see the problem...or if you gave me a little more details?
