so is pass and fail just a judgment on our performance, or do we reckon it's gonna come back and bite us in the ass in the future?

aurora said she missed us, by the way.
( those are not the words she used. ) she also said that she and eos are free to run their cities in whatever way works for the people under her care, as long as we're well-taken care of.

but, thing is, she gets to define that. says she gets to learn from her actions and inactions in relation to us.

which is something to keep in mind when we're acting as a group or not acting as a group and trying to get answers, or choosing which rules are okay to break and which rules are okay to stretch.

because between here and moorecroft, right now i'd say we've got the better end of the deal.

Yeah. She had a lot of harsh and kind of bizarre rules that Aurora doesn't have. I can't imagine being stuck going on these incredibly high intensity missions and then being made to go to school immediately afterward.

[It's a joke because being a superhero sucks.]

Still, I also got the idea that Eos' version of this was a lot more well established, right? We should be careful she doesn't come to the same conclusions, yeah.

There's a difference between structure and total redundancy.

[Not that she really... disliked school. It was one place where she could be seperated from everything else. They went easy on her in a lot of senses. But the prospect of going back after everything she's done and been through... yeah, it's a bit much. Especially without Victoria by her side...]

But yeah on the flipside, the slow periods between missions don't give us much in the way of structured activities, which just leads to a lot of aimless waiting.

Do you think she can be trusted to tell the truth? About what she is and isn't aware of, I mean.

Depends on the kid and depends on the day job. I could have done a lot more working at a hospital than LARPing as a high schooler.

That sounds about what I think.

I'm not really good at catching anything with honey. But so far being polite to our AI overlord seems to be working well.

There was an artificial intelligence in my world who was severely limited in her abilities to actually help by programming designed to keep her from being an active threat. I'm not sure Aurora's quite so benevolent but it does seem like she's similarly limited. Or at least she wants us to think she is. It's not like any of us have ever met her boss.
