We're all back from Eos. I don't know how it was for everyone else, but I got to live in a house with two beautiful women and a charming young man. There was a baby, too, but we had to leave her behind.

Now I'm in this flat that I moved into not long before we left for Eos, and it's fine, really, but it seems a bit empty. I know it won't be that way for long, since I'm very much used to living alone, but I wonder if anyone else feels a bit off after sharing a house with other people for a month.

And is it weird if I miss her? I know she wasn't a real baby, but she was so cute and sweet. Wherever you are, I hope you're doing well, little Violet.

[It would awkward to just be standing here, so Daisy pulls out the chair across from him and takes a seat as well. Setting her glass down for now.]

I’ve watched a lot of horror films, like Paranormal Activity. My—

[She doesn’t often talk about her life before all of this, but a smile comes to her face.]

My friends got me into them. Same with Doctor Who.

[That was all Fitz and Simmons’ doing.]

[ Hob smiles as Daisy mentions her friends. Clearly, she thinks fondly of them. ]

I was never much into horror movies.

[ Though that snake made Hob feel like he was in one for awhile. ]

But naturally, I approve of Doctor Who.

[Daisy laughs at that, leaning back in her chair.]

I figured you would.

[He is English after all.]

What kind of movies do you like then?

[ It may be a requirement for him to like that show. ]

Hm, adventure? Something with some action. Though I didn't imagine I'd be living something like those movies here. Dramas. I'd even call a romance film a guilty pleasure.

[Daisy’s smile widens at his defensive tone,]

Can’t say I’ve ever seen it.

[Picking up her glass again, she smiles against the rim before taking a sip.]

Really? I don't know if they have movies from home here, but if they do, we should correct that error.

[ Hob wouldn't mind seeing the movie again. ]

What do you like about horror movies, exactly?

[Daisy almost turns his offer down, but with the alternative being her isolating…]

If you can find it, sure.

[Putting the glass back down on the table, Daisy crosses her arms over her chest and leans back in her chair. Mulling his question over.]

I guess I never really thought about it. I mean, watching others jump is pretty funny. Sometimes the plots are good, other times they’re so bad that they’re good.

What about you and romance movies?

[ Hob doesn't know if it's possible to find it here, but if he does, he'll definitely suggest they watch it. ]

Sort of the same, I guess. Sometimes they're so bad, they're good? Other times it's nice to just see a happy ending for a change. A lot of movies can be real downers, you know?

[Daisy smiles sadly at that, looking down at her glass for a moment.]

Yeah, I know.

[Thats been her entire life. Sad endings. Daisy takes another swig of her drink.]

I guess we’ll have to go on the hunt for movies with happy endings then.

Does this place have movies from other worlds?

[ Hob did manage to pick up some books, but he's still learning a lot about this place. He can't put his finger on what seems to be bothering her, but maybe a movie really would cheer her up. ]

[ It's true, since it seems as though anything can happen here. Plus, many of the place he's seen are obviously not native to this world. ]

We can? Don't tell me you've seen a Blockbuster video pop up over night.

[Daisy laughs softly at that, looking back to him.]

No, but that would be an insane throwback if it did.

[She hasn't actively thought about Blockbuster in who knows how long.]

But, maybe one of the stores around here carries them.

[ Could they? Hob is intrigued by the idea. Not just by the thought of finding familiar movies, but even more books or other things to occupy his time. ]

[Daisy’s eyebrows raise in surprise, a smile tugging at her lips.]

[ Hob thinks it over. ]

Right. New plan. We go out, find the movie, come back, and then get sloshed while we watch it.

[Nothing about this place is ideal, especially with Joric gone. But this as closest her night has felt ideal in a while.]

Sounds like a plan.

[She gets to her feet, feeling only slightly buzzed.]

Maybe grab some snacks on the way back?

Now you're on to something.

[ Hob may be a bit tipsy, but it won't stop him from heading out for a supply run. With any luck, they'll be back with food and a movie to watch. ]

[Holding onto the bag of snacks and movies, Daisy waits for Hob to unlock his door.]

I can’t believe they had it.

[She might’ve grabbed a few other movies as well. Even if they don’t end up watching them tonight. Once inside she sets the bag on the table and pulls out the snacks they had picked up, and pride and prejudice.]

[ Hob is clearly buzzing with excitement. He didn't think he'd be able to see familiar things from home in this world. While they were at it, he grabbed a couple of books and a few music records, too.

He offers to take the movie so he can get it ready in the player, then he pours them each a fresh drink and sets them on the coffee table. ]

[Daisy finds his excitement endearing, enough so that it does make her smile briefly. Taking a seat on the couch, she opens the bag of chips she had bought and offers him the bag after taking a handful.]
