And don't bother asking her if there's a way to get back whatever the fuck you lose if you die. She said revival breaks the natural order of the world, so that's why there's a cost.

No. Aurora's programming is limited when it comes to explaining anything about Echo, so as far as I know we don't know a damn thing about them aside from this.

But if we die and we're brought back, we take on a cost. [ ... ] Hard to know if there's any connection when still don't know anything.

There might be some kind of connection, however tenuous. Aurora said we get the brunt of the cost when we die because Echo can't take on both that and the cost that comes with bringing us here.

I didn't do much, just talked to her. None of this information was sensitive.

That's what I'm wondering. If they lose something every time they bring someone here, or in Moorcroft, or however many other planets there are, then do they even have any fucking psyche left? Or a body?

They must have a lot more automated than we realized.

It's possible, unless they've got their entire plan backed up somewhere else. Keep it external so even if they lose their fucking memory, they've still got it it somewhere.

Yes. Apparently it's a necessary part of the resurrection process. There aren't any exceptions and if there's a way to get whatever was lost back, I don't think Aurora knows about it.

This raises a hell of a lot of questions about Echo's process for selecting and returning people. It'd help if we knew anything about them.

No fucking idea. It's not like a survey has ever been done, but I've also never seen an uproar about it. My guess would be only a handful of people have so far.
