Hello Etraya, this is Connor. Accelerator and I would like to share our recent findings after exploring the lower floors of the hospital with Yuri and Dimitri. Clint Barton was also involved, but he is no longer here. I apologize if this is new information for you.
Please keep in mind we are strongly advising against investigation.

Floors 1-5 are relatively empty. The 8th floor is primarily filled with alien technology, which I believe is a direct correlation to being disconnected from the network from that point onward. You will not be able to reach anyone if you are in danger.

Once you get to the 8th floor the oxygen levels start to drop. The companion bots will get aggressive and attack you, too. It's like white blood cells attacking foreign entities in someone's body for protection, it's obvious we aren't supposed to be down there.

Correct. After the 10th floor, humans were only able to continue with specialized assistance. There are 100 floors that we are aware of. The atmospheric conditions become increasingly unstable, including a change in the planet's gravitational force, with a high concentration of carbon dioxide and helium. The severe change in gravity causes an elevation of heat, and I was compromised. No one can survive it.

Don't go down there unless you're prepared to deal with being in an environment like the goddamn core of a planet.
I think that's about it. Connor, you sure it's no problem altering the network so all this is public?

Since I'm able to access the network after downloading its signature, any adjustments I've made are temporary. No permanent alterations to Etraya's actual network code has been made, so there shouldn't be any issue.

If they don't want us there, why not place another barrier?

the Castiel he knows is definitely not capable of those conditions. is this the other Castiel that he's heard about? there are no traces of him on the network.]

Another trip is not currently necessary, and I wouldn't be able to survive without assistance once the gravity increases.

I don't think we were supposed to discover it in the first place. The hospital is an anomaly.

[that confirms it. this is not the Castiel he knows. but the one he hadn't known would have been here for the mission, so he has to assume the one he's speaking to is different.

It was one of the locations to be affected by Im'mari. Are you a new arrival?

Yes.

I'm the third Castiel to show up. The other two seem to be missing.

What's Im'mari?

Im'mari is a complicated concept. It presented as a virus that fed off of the negative emotions of others, but was able to infect Aurora as well.
I'm suspicious whether its influence has disappeared completely.

That seems incredibly dangerous considering the situation we're in.

Yes. Our missions are primarily dangerous.

You mentioned that the other Castiels are missing. Does Dean know? I liked the one I'd met, he was interesting. He was from an alternate universe of your universe.

[messenger]

What are the symptoms of the virus?

I'm sure he suspects. He found me and brought me to the bunker and let me choose a room, which is how I learned the others were given rooms. But neither were there, and I haven't been able to find them. It's possible my counterpart is hidden, and the Castiel from the alternate universe could be warded... But the longer they're gone, the more I think they've been sent away.

I know of him. Zachariah sent Dean there. My former superior.

From what I saw, the symptoms caused people to experience intense amounts of fear. Im'mari created a widespread paranoia.

I see. The hierarchy of your world sounds complex.

That sounds more like a curse.

[ not that he's discounting what connor is telling him. ]

But you're right. It is. I should be grateful I'm not a part of it anymore.

Yup, they went back to their normal overly helpful selves. They were just doing their jobs down there, it's doubtful they were doing anything out of maliciousness.

My concern is that they could mark individuals as threats based on past behavior.

[levelshift]

They haven't attacked any of us since then. I've got the worst past behaviour out of all of us, easy, and they've behaved normally towards me, so I doubt they're programmed to act that way.

That's good to know.

Is it possible someone could alter their programming and give them different orders?

[ he's not on the up-and-up with technology. but if he thinks of them like angels, the thought processes click into place. ]

I'm not going to say it's impossible based on what I know about programming. [Which is a fair bit.] But I'd guess it's incredibly difficult. Some amateur hacker wouldn't be able to, I'd be fucking surprised if an average professional could.

What about the virus? Im'mari? It infected Aurora.

[levelshift]

Yeah, it did. That thing was on a whole other level.

[Getting rid of the part of it that infected Aurora wasn't easy.]

How did you get rid of it?

And do we know where it came from?

[levelshift]

Surgery. Some other people had a fight with it or something? I don't know the details about that, though.

It came through the barrier after it was damaged when part of that fucking space station crashed. Before that, we ran into it when we were in Moorecroft, the city run by Aurora's sister Eos.

Where's Moorecroft?

Eos' city on another planet. Same deal as Etraya, but she's got it styled like the American suburbs. She said it was for the mental health of the people stuck there, but it was mostly just aggravating.

I wish we weren't trapped here. I wanna see it.

But it does seem like a strange choice. Really, how skewed is the population in the direction of individuals who would find that kind of setting familiar?
