Which is why we should be asking those questions, and doing what we can to find answers. We should also be inquiring as to the selection method. Why us? Out of a whole world, why were you and I chosen, specifically? And, since it appears not everyone arrived at the same time, why choose us at the particular moment in which we were chosen? Or rather, perhaps, why choose our worlds for evaluation at that time? Is every world represented here, and if not, why not, and which worlds have failed to qualify? I'd also quite like to know whether time is passing in our worlds while we're here.

- Young, probably less than 25.
- Law enforcement of some kind.
- Well-bred. Just from your typing style, you seem like you're the upper-crust, educated type.
- Pretty young for a cop, so maybe you're from a world where people have a shorter life expectancy. More likely, you've got nepotism on your side. Friends in high places. That sorta thing.
- Stubborn. Hopeful.
- Idealistic.

In this hypothetical scenario, I wouldn't tell you what I've learned because I'm a bad guy. I want to keep all the info to myself. You know? Have a leg up over everyone else.

What would anyone gain from hoarding information when it would only be detrimental to their goals? Why would even the worst bad actor do something like that?
