[Since there seems to be tension, Wen Kexing offers what comfort he can in the form of his flute. Sit back, close your eyes and listen. The piece in question is meant to soothe the mind, the body and soul, allowing for healing and restful sleep. But it's also rather sad; he isn't the sort of man that can play bright, happy songs, especially since he noticed one of his friends is missing.
Ah well. Such is the nature of this world.
Eventually he will speak, his deep voice soft so as to not ruin the mood.]
People come and go. I don't even see the point of creating a memorial. Our time here is purposefully brief.
[Is he trying to convince himself? Could be.]
Get some rest. We don't know what tomorrow will bring.

( 'pretty good' is an understatement. it sounded... strong. soulful. eddie and venom both feel pretty moved by that piece, but eddie's doing his best to keep his tears on the inside. )
You okay? Did something... happen?
Video
Someone I was just getting to know went home. It's probably better for him.
[But it sucks.]
Who will I talk with about poetry?
no subject
( eddie wasn't sure going home was even possible. up until now, no one's really mentioned it. )
I mean, isn't that a good thing? For him? For all of us?
We should all want to go back, right?
no subject
[Zhou Zishu doesn't count!]
no subject
( he cannot, but let him have this. )
When exactly is your time?
no subject
[He doesn't mind teaching someone~]
Ancient China apparently.
no subject
( see eddie contemplate this one, eyebrow raised in thought. )
Yeah, I get the feeling that our art, music, and poetry isn't exactly the same as what you've got going on in your world.
For example: where do you guys stand on tattoos?
no subject
Do you know about China? [Even the name for his country is odd to him. He's that old.]
no subject
Here, in my world, tattoos don't mean a goddamn thing.
( he rolls up the sleeves of his comfy, ugly sweater to show the tattoos on his arms. they're cool, not totally pointless — one's a bird, the other is a wolf — but they don't have the communal aspect that this person is familiar with. )
They just sorta... look cool.
And, uh, broad strokes.
( the american education system did not teach him enough about the history of china, we're sad to say. )

[His eyes sparkle playfully.]
Are you dangerous, friend?
no subject
( no takebacks. )
I'm not dangerous.
Are you dangerous?
no subject
Yes.
no subject
( preferably never!! )
And are you sure? Because dangerous people usually aren't so transparent about how dangerous they are.

[Action]
It's not hard. Once he reaches Kexing's side, he takes a seat, pressing his back up against Kexing's to avoid interrupting the tune. Letting his eyes close, he allows his thoughts to drift as he automatically works on circulating his qi while he waits for Kexing to decide to speak. Or not.
When his love does, he doesn't let himself sigh as his head lowers. ]
Memorials can be destroyed. Hold those who have been lost in your heart and mind, Lao Wen. Then they can never be truly lost.
[Action]
Nie Huaisang. I saw his nightmares when I arrived. He isn't like you or me, but I trust he has his own way of defeating his demons.
[Action]
...Ah. So he did leave.
[ He'd wondered. ]
I'm sure he'll succeed in what he puts his mind to.
[Action]
To avenge his brother.
[Kexing turns, tucking his flute away. He presses his hands against Zishu's back and offers him healing energy.]
I think there is more to him. He proved he is clever.
Now, tell me about you, A-Xu. How are you feeling?
[Action]
Ah. He'll be fine.
[ Then his amazing soulmate proves once again his kindness and generous spirit. His eyes close as he sighs, welcoming that surge of healing energy that seeks out every last bit that might even think about bothering him. ]
Half of them are out, thanks to you. Every day is better.
[Action]
We all have monsters to face.
[Sometimes those monsters are inside of them. Kexing kisses Zishu's neck and breathes in his soulmate's alluring scent.]
Tonight, we remove more. If you're up to it?
no subject
Those who are lucky do not have to face them alone.
[ He smiles at the kiss and tilts his head to welcome them. ]
I feel strong, Lao Wen. I think the last one will be the worst to wait for.
no subject
Each of us has one wing, A-Xu. Together, we can fly.
[More kisses are placed over Zishu's neck and face.]
We're close. Once the last one is removed, we will begin your true recovery.
no subject
Only for the kisses to make him chuckle, heart warming as he closes his eyes when soft lips reach his face. ]
Then you will really need to prepare yourself, my Lao Wen. Do you think you can handle that?
no subject
no subject
You might come to regret that.
