it's come to my attention that tatianna-san's last quest before the eggs was never actually completed! it seems like a shame to let all our hard work go to waste [those were some top-tier lies he came up with, alright, some of his best efforts!] so i was thinking it might be helpful to come up with a questionnaire to hit the ground running (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و

[ There follows a pause as he considers some good, sporting offerings for someone who doesn't know him. Something with details to pick at and consider. ]

1. I hail from the northern region of my country, specifically a dutchy known for its apples.

2. I've been proposed to many times, but the one I wound up married to didn't do so.

3. I'm one of the first commoners to have graduated from the prestigious Officer's Academy at Garreg Mach.

[ How someone else determines the truth is, in his opinion, just as telling as the information they ferret out. A fun game, no? ]

[He has to take a long moment to think over the choices, which cleverly have nothing to do with his questionnaire at all. The first one is, he thinks, deceptively simple and innocent. There's theoretically nothing to hide about being from a dutchy known for apples, which would provide an easy out to craft outrageous lies for the other two options without revealing anything about himself at all. But then, it would be the obvious choice, wouldn't it? Considering the other person had proposed the game to begin with, he doubts they would be satisfied with an outcome like that.

So if he begins with the assumption that #1 is a lie, which one is the truth? The best lies have a grain of truth to them, so his inclination is to see #3 as one; possibly someone they know has that distinction, instead. It seems a little unlikely someone looking to avoid giving out too much information would use the opportunity to brag about their accomplishments, after all. The personal one, then.]

hmmm! i think i'll say #2 is the truth, here.

[ Yuri's response is noncommittal, though he has no intention of failing to acknowledge that conclusion is correct. He's simply curious as to the logic behind it.

The most interesting part of such games is the other mind or minds involved, so far as he's concerned. He may gamble to win, but there are no stakes here. ]

Ifan territory's apples are quite the treat, if you ever have the chance to try one. One of the rare cases of fruiting trees flourishing in my country.
