hey there,

first of all I wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to my party last month, and a huge thank you to gorgug for helping me out. I really had a lot of fun with everyone and getting to know each of you a little better.

on that note, I got to know some of you a lot better, and it made me realize we all have something in common. the need for human connection and support for all of the things that seem to bother us or have us concerned. So I had a bit of an idea, especially since it seems I'm going to be in Etraya for a while.

back home I worked for a while at a youth crises center as the person who answered calls and helped out others. I want to offer something similar here, and while I know it's tricky to keep things anonymous, it looks like I'm able to get a dedicated line for this. I also wanted to setup a little hub for those who want to talk and share in person. I can't offer advice, but I can offer a shoulder to lean on and someone to vent to (me!)

so I guess I'm just asking for another favor again- if anyone has any items they can donate, or help me find items to spruce up the office I'd appreciate it. I want to create a warm and safe environment for anyone who wants to swing by. let me know your thoughts too! I can use any and all help.

There's no point in that. [ But she asks him anyway. ] Same as everyone else, I'm suppose. Not being connected to home. Not knowing if we're being fed a bunch of bullshit or not.

are you sure? I mean even if it's repetitive and pointless, sometimes the feeling we get from being able to vent can help. even if just a little.

and thanks for asking, I have a few people I can trust here already. they've been there for me and it inspired me to try and do the same for others.

I'm glad to hear that. It's better that way. Back home, I have a lot of friends I'm always with. I haven't been alone in... well, ever. I'm a twin, you see. We were always together.

I'm sorry, I didn't know. that must be rough, have you made any friends here you can really trust and be with?

( now that made her worry for him more than she probably should. she knew exactly what it was like to be alone for the first time, having lived with her father up until now.

It's not so easy. It feels as though some people are comfortable here or fine with just playing along. I've never been the type to do what I was told, but I wasn't the smart one, either.

[ The big brains and plans belong to his sister and Percy. Vax, on the other hand, has the reckless, self-sacrificing heart. He's probably not a very good choice to be here with his whole realm relying on him, and he knows it. ]

( although heather understood where he was coming from, and frankly could relate, she did find it amusing that despite his initial protests in sharing his feelings-

here he was doing it. maybe she was good at this after all. )

I like to believe that maybe people just don't know what to do with themselves being here, out of their element. no one wants to hurt anyone else, at least most of us don't, so we conform to avoid trouble.

what was your world like anyways? I don't think we've ever shared much about that.

That might work for now, but if it comes down to it, what are people capable of if their whole world and everyone they love is on the line?

My world? It's burning. A group of dragons assembled under a leader and have destroyed cities, towns, and killed so many. My group was searching for these vestiges we hoped would give us the power to defeat them. That's when I ended up here.

people can surprise you in both positive and negative ways. I can't say there's anything holding back people even now considering how echo and aurora view good and bad behavior.

( that was a debate she had a while back when the whole hannibal thing went down. none of them seemed to care, and therefore heather knew deep down that people were behaving here because they were good. ~~or maybe they didn't know how being bad wasn't punished~~. )

that must be a scary feeling huh? leaving in the middle of something chaotic and not knowing what's going on back home.

Supposedly, everything is just as we left it, but I have to take their word for it.

What's your home like?

well I'd like to say it's fairly normal, but I also left right after my father passed away. not great timing if you ask me.

( it's hard to divulge the full reality of her life and what she had gone through via text, much less to vax who while she liked, wasn't too close to.
