Peter Parker Spider-Man has already confirmed he'd vanished for months — which is totally crazy, because he feels like he hasn't been gone all that long — but here he is! In all of his 'confused but has spirit' energy that had gotten him through his time in Etraya before.]

Hey guys, I'm back!

Just gone long enough to apply to, like, fifty barista and pizza guy jobs back home.

... Swinging around doesn't pay rent, y'know.

[He's perched on his tippy-toes, on top of one of the tallest buildings in Etraya.

[Hm, if Eddie doesn't know about Spidey, they suppose that there could also be a world where Spidey never met Venom.]

Hey, yeah! That's me, actually.

I did go to space, but I ended up getting turned into a pile of dust for a while-- [It was actually majorly traumatic, but spider-people are very, very good at turning trauma into goofs and gaffs. You understand. But actually, refocus! Refocus, Peter!] You know me from home? You've got a Spider-Man, too?

[He sounds a little excited by it, if only because maybe it's the one he'd bonded with back home? Even if it's not older Pete, it's still cool to learn about all of the others...! Multiverses are so awesome.]

I think there's two, actually. Although I mostly talked to the older one. My parent and he have...history. They're getting along lately. And we never had a problem personally.

Do you have other heroes in your world? The version of my parent and his partner that are here don't. It's a little strange.

[They decide not to mention the inherited spider-powers, but do put testing out if their danger-sense still interferes if that's a thing this one has.]

Oh, we have tons of heroes in my world.

Actually, I was a member of the Avengers. Do you have them in your world?

Because the last Spider-people I spoke to thought it was a band.

[Not that he'd hate being in a band... if he... had any real musical talent...]

Bunch of big guys with flashy costumes who only show up when something big is going down and then expect everyone else to just fall in line? Yeah, we got those. I mean, they're not the worst. Widow seems cool.

[They consider things.]

I mostly just kept an eye one my brother when he needed me. Well, once I got back from space.

Widow was great, though... Most of the time I knew them, they were all mad at each other... which might be typical Avengers problems... [He scratches his temple, thoughtful.] Do you have a lot more heroes than just the Avengers, then? Because all we had was the Avengers, mostly. For a while.

[Superheroes are starting to show up more and more, though.

The new generation of crime fighters, or something like that.]

Sometimes I think New York has more superheroes than cops. They're everywhere. You'd think someone would explain the concept of target-rich environment to them.

... I did notice a really big uptick in heroes.

Back in 2012, we didn't have a lot of heroes to go around, but... I think superheroism has grown a lot since the Chitauri invasion. Yours truly included! Back when I was younger, there was mostly just the original Avenger team.

Not familiar with the Chitauri, and the Avengers have been around for like decades now. It's not really a simple issue with groups like AIM and HYDRA always popping up to cause trouble.

I think the Baxter Building has been home to the Fantastic Four since like the 70s? It's really hard to keep track of all that ancient history.

[Or maybe it's more that they just don't care to bother. Unless something's actively a danger to them and theirs, there's no reason to sweat the small stuff like that.]

Of course, I'm a cat, so everything is pretty much beneath my notice, right?

Man, having heroes around that long...? That's crazy...

In shape, if not precisely in origin. It's a very comfortable shape.
