[The easiest introduction in the world! Being that it's a, uh, re-introduction. Peter Parker Spider-Man has already confirmed he'd vanished for months — which is totally crazy, because he feels like he hasn't been gone all that long — but here he is! In all of his 'confused but has spirit' energy that had gotten him through his time in Etraya before.]
Hey guys, I'm back!
Just gone long enough to apply to, like, fifty barista and pizza guy jobs back home.
... Swinging around doesn't pay rent, y'know.
What'd I miss?
[He's perched on his tippy-toes, on top of one of the tallest buildings in Etraya.
As you do.]

[What does happen is that the part of Pete that came from Ben Reilly gives him the strangest sense of deja vu at the costume.]
Sorry, hold the phone. Who are you again?
video
[Not a very graceful response, but on-brand; he points with one gloved finger.]
You first! Which Spider are you?!

[Here he was, only just turning into a genuine Spider-Man this year.]
I met two of me! Or, uh... versions of me. Same names and everything.
It made things a little confusing, but they were so awesome.
Re: video
Swinging around does pay my rent, and a lot of other people's rent on top of it, but that's got its own issues. Though, I'll admit it's issues I'm lucky to have at all.
video
[THAT'S CLEARLY THE IMPORTANT THING HERE.]
Re: video
To paraphrase the great philosopher Mel Brooks: Merchandising. It's where the real money is made.
Unfortunately legal nixed Spider-Boy the Flamethrower. I'm still not actually sure if they noticed it was April 1st when I suggested it.
video
How do you get by getting paid? Do you sign 'Spider-Boy' on the checks?
[He's not actually sure if checks are involved.
In fact, the only check he's ever seen is the giant one they had at the homeless shelter charity event.]
Re: video
And then I pay my accountant well enough that they won't be tempted tell anybody what it is. Not that I really use it anymore, but it's nice to have the occasional chance to go incognito.
[He uses his real name way more than that, but Thaddeus Ross didn't raise no fool. Pete's not going into all the particulars of what he does with his secret identity where anyone can see.]
video
Kinda harder to set all that up when you're in the negatives.
[Accountant? Personal accountant? Wild.]
... I was thinking maybe it wouldn't be too tacky to sell my own photos to paparazzi...
Re: video
[It's not like Pete could. Not without looking like a massive hypocrite, at any rate.]
Just, y'know, try to be careful what you sell and more importantly who you sell it to. There is definitely such thing as bad publicity.
video
... I feel like at this point in my career, there's no where to go but up when it comes to publicity.
Things haven't gone super great recently, but I'm on the up n' up.
