Peter Parker Spider-Man has already confirmed he'd vanished for months — which is totally crazy, because he feels like he hasn't been gone all that long — but here he is! In all of his 'confused but has spirit' energy that had gotten him through his time in Etraya before.]

Hey guys, I'm back!

Just gone long enough to apply to, like, fifty barista and pizza guy jobs back home.

... Swinging around doesn't pay rent, y'know.

[He's perched on his tippy-toes, on top of one of the tallest buildings in Etraya.

( sorry spidey, she lives in the real world. even if it was filled with horrible monsters and cult members-

which her father had definitely gone after in court, legally changing her name and all that to further escape them. of course she would immediately think of that as a solution or a band aid to his problems! )

Oh...I see. I'm sorry that happened to you, and listen..

( and now here's where she's actually feeling pretty bad about her approach with him. with an apologetic expression, she crossed her arms and spoke in a more gentle voice. )

You don't have to tell me who you really are, frankly that's for you to keep. What I want you to know is that you're not alone here. If you want to talk to someone about that, even just your feelings, I'm here for you. I know we just met, but it's kinda something I'm doing for everyone.

[Man. The real world sucks. The real world gets your adoptive parents killed.

Both of them somehow know this in entirely different, insane ways.

But Peter knows none of this when he smiles behind the mask in appreciation.]

[Times like these, he really misses MJ and Ned.]

... Only if I can be someone you talk to stuff about, too.

Us universe captives gotta stick together, don't we? [And frankly, it'd be nice to have more friends around here. Maybe he could even start collecting more friends as Peter Parker. Wouldn't that be something?] And that includes any time you're about to be eaten by monsters or anything like that! I'm pretty good at getting across town to kick some butt.

( his words bring about a smile to her face, even a small blush as she remembered her father in this instance. he would have said those exact same words...encouraging heather to be better and help others will remembering not to neglect herself.

so despite making fun of him a bit, she could see he was serious about being a good super hero. )

Deal, but I don't really need saving. I'm pretty tough myself you know?

( so maybe she didn't prevent the birth of god, and was pulled right when it happened. but she could handle herself just fine in that department-

not that she was going to make him worry. )

[He's known a lot of crazy-awesome heroes who needed a hand. Especially against something just as tough as you, if not tougher.]

And it's Heather, Heather Mason. I just use my last name because it means a lot to me...

By the way, hope you're able to settle back in. When you originally left...do you remember that at all? How that happened?

Didn't remember a single thing about Etraya until I returned.

It was pretty freaky, though -- like, I woke up, and I just knew why I was here, and who had been here last time I'd been around. Everything as clear as the day I'd vanished. Definitely... some missing faces. But plenty of new ones, too.

( well his answer at the very least filled in a few blanks and questions she had about the mechanics of it all. it seemed so far that if she were to go back home [apparently echo was kind enough to do that], then it wasn't guaranteed that she would be allowed to remain there. which might also mean he didn't know how much time had passed. )

Well I have more questions about all of this, but I won't hold you up. I'm sure you have things you want to get back to. Thanks again for answering.
