Does anyone specialize in polite quips? At BEST, they're saucy. If I go a week without being called impudent, I need to hang up the tights.

It's totally normal, especially if you're talking to civilians.
They appreciate some levity in crazy situations!

I work nights. Not as many civilians as you'd think. Most of the time, I just want them to get clear as fast as possible.

NYC loves having people wander around the city at night... depending on where you are in NYC, anyway. But point taken! It is totally quieter after a certain hour. I work a lot of day hours, too, though -- crime doesn't always wait for the sun to go down.

Besides, it's nice to do basic stuff.

Like, finding lost dogs, or helping someone across the street.

Getting kittens out of trees, simple purse snatchers. I miss the ones where you feel like you made an individual difference. Lot of times, we have to triage and it sucks, but no one can be everywhere.

I really missed being low to the ground when the alien invasion thing happened.
One second I'm giving some tourists directions, the next I'm in space. :/
