Greetings. I hope this finds you all well.

My name is Nicholas. I am from Italy, on Earth.

I arrived here recently and I think so did many others. It seems we are all from different places. I admit to being curious and would be glad to hear more about all of you.

We may speak in person or over these devices.

If you prefer in person, I will be making rosemary focaccia and aubergine parmigiana for dinner this evening. There will also be amaretti and coffee, if you prefer to come only for a short time.

All are welcome. You need not bring gifts.

Thank you.

well
a quarter of those are recipes from the Depression, which no one cares for anymore

half are what most consider American junk food but are staples where I'm from
and the last quarter are recipes I've tried once or twice or are things like cookies and desserts and such

>Junk food and desserts would complement the current menu well.

this is only confirming to me that American Italian has a right to be junk food

honestly, the only thing I still make from the Depression are my ma's pancakes but I think poor man's cookies would fit reasonably dessert
wouldn't be too hard to whip up a few burgers too

( it's refreshing making a new friend. he does that a lot still, but he has to pretend he isn't who he is to save others the trouble of wondering about how many people he's killed and how he did it. here, he's wholly himself for once, given the parameters provided for their summoning here, and bucky's still getting used to the idea of not shying away from things that stand out as strange to the average person.

wait, what year?

oh.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhh— )

2024?

( shit, why did he add the question mark... )

( in bucky's defense, he was blipped out of existence for five or so years, so time is a bit of a confusing thing just because of that. )

oh

well hello from the future then
though I'm not sure if we're from the same universe
you don't happen to know about overly patriotic public figure named Captain America, do you?

( ...god, that sounds embarrassingly bad. the other universes must be cringing. )

no worries, pal
I figured what you'd meant

there aren't any of those named that where I'm from, but a majority of people in Europe definitely aren't keen on Captain America there either, so sounds like you really are from another universe

( interesting. )

that's probably a good thing though
considering what happened recently on my Earth
