how many people need a primer on survivalism for this mission?
general headcount and identifications would be useful, so others can keep an eye out for you also, once we're in.

( to be helped, of course. )

gathering some info on this already, so I'll edit a bit later to add a basic guide below.

Before we all head into the labyrinth, I figure we should have a level playing field for making calls about risk.

If you die here, apparently you don't stay dead. You're down for two days or so, then you resurrect wherever your body happens to be. So it's probably a nice gesture, if you see a corpse in the maze, to drag them somewhere not totally inconvenient to wake up.

The temporarily dead also come back fully healed of injuries, but the penalty is some kind of personal loss. Think scars, tattoos, a digit, possibly more intangible qualities, etc. I have no idea what the rules are on that, so if anyone has any useful speculation, consider the floor open.

In fact, if anyone is familiar with this kind of thing back in your universes, you're invited to share with the class. The more we know about resurrection in general, maybe the more we can figure out about how it works here. Bonus marks if you have first hand experience.

hello out there!
first time caller - texter? - but long time globe trotting errand gal. that's how it feels, anyway.
back home, i've been traveling with a group for a while now, trying to do...something kinda similar, actually.
save the world and all.
but there are always stepping stones, you know? so we end up helping a lot of people along the way.

what i'm trying to say is: if anyone needs a buddy for the mission, count me in!

[ ... oh, right - ]

almost forgot: i'm aerith. :D
anyway, not really sure if this thing's working, so maybe someone could respond and let me know if it is?

Hello, citizens of Etraya.

I hope you are making yourselves at home.

Thank you for participating in our bonding activities during the previous mission. Your willingness to get to know one another is admirable and you should all give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. We hope you've come away with both the satisfaction of a job well done and maybe a new friend.

Your second mission will be a team exercise and will begin in four days.

You will enter the Labyrinth that has appeared outside of the city dome. As the Labyrinth is meant to be a challenge one person cannot overtake alone, some of you may find that your extraordinary abilities are affected to some degree, ensuring you will not fly through the challenge in a wink. Teamwork is necessary and the Labyrinth itself will be making sure everyone is working together.

If you have brought any animal companions with you, you may choose to bring them into the Labyrinth or leave them in my care. Please note for the duration of the mission, the city will not be inhabitable by those who require oxygen to breathe. Please do not leave any companions behind in apartment buildings.

If you have any questions, please ask them now.

Thank you,
Aurora

Ah, hello everyone! I'm Vash, one of the new arrivals. It's nice to meet everyone :)

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but has anyone actually met Echo or gotten a chance to speak with them? Because I was thinking, there's so many of us from so many different places, and between all of us I'm sure there's a solution Echo hasn't found where nobody needs to lose a universe, right? Echo's just one person, after all--there must be some angles to this situation they haven't even considered yet, and if enough of us approached them at once, maybe they'd hear us out.

Thanks for your time!!

Greetings. I hope this finds you all well.

My name is Nicholas. I am from Italy, on Earth.

I arrived here recently and I think so did many others. It seems we are all from different places. I admit to being curious and would be glad to hear more about all of you.

We may speak in person or over these devices.

If you prefer in person, I will be making rosemary focaccia and aubergine parmigiana for dinner this evening. There will also be amaretti and coffee, if you prefer to come only for a short time.

All are welcome. You need not bring gifts.

Thank you.

I asked Aurora to let the TVs work in the rec room of the apartment building, but all that is playing is old black and white movies

[ because that is what wanda asked for, sort of, but every channel is playing a different movie, all of them black and white. ]

From Earth

[ since that is a consideration now. ]

so new people showing
hi everyone! I'm Kate, or Hawkeye
there's a lot of younger people in the mix as well
before the adults get involved and start poo pooing the idea of *kids* saving the world
I'm sure mine isn't the only one that's been saved by the younger gen a time or two

anyway
I've found a building here that is basically mine from home
my home
it's marked as Bishop Publishing

any teens or 20 somethings need a place to hangout
it's open
there's several games, an archery range, gym, and a lot of other things that can be used to either train or just relax

[address of building here]

feel free to join us
it's all good

[Hello fellow kidnappies. Wow, that really doesn't sound right even in her head.

Anyway,
Kate is figuring out the whole network process here and has decided to put it to good use. 2 birds, 1 arrow or something like that.]

I was thinking. They want us to get to know each other better to help with teamwork and all of that. Which is great, teams take work. Lots of work in some cases.

So, I was thinking we could play a game to help facilitate things. And not a game like the whole murdery Bingo deal they gave out before. Let's try Two Truths and a Lie. I'll go first and everyone can jump in if they want. I will even allow for questions before you determine your answer.

One: I'm Hawkeye. [Kate that is quite literally your username] Some people have actually called me the world's greatest archer. [modesty, never heard of her]

Two: I found all this stuff [she points the feed toward a table with a shield, a stuffed Superman plushie, and an opalescent stone, gold shot with red, blue, and violet that is threaded onto a leather cord] and I already know who it belongs to, I'm just waiting to give it back.

Three: One of my teammates at home has baby landshark as a pet. She named him Jeff. He's the team mascot.

[ooc: consider this a free for all and go wild]
