Right, so, a couple things:

One, don't eat the chili.

( moving right along. )

Two, just because it's plastic doesn't mean it's recyclable. You see this number in the little triangle? ( indeed, he shows a milk jug to the camera. ) That means something. Don't worry, I didn't know all the specifics, either. 1 and 2? Good to recycle. 3? Totally not recyclable. All the other numbers are like a sometimes thing, and that's not very helpful. It's a flawed system. We don't love it.

Three, we've seen some kids sneaking off into the woods at night. Yeah, don't do that. Bad idea. Anything could be out there. And if you see salt lying around outside the cabins, maybe don't touch that, either.

Four, if anyone needs swimming lessons, we can... do that. We can help. Water can be kind of a lot.

( this also extends to counselors. people who know how to swim are also welcome; eddie just needs to go for a dip. )

And, uh, last but not least... does anyone else feel like this whole summer camp thing is portending our doom?

[Mayuko is sitting in the shade of a Quiet Zone canopy, waiting for the usual crowd that drifts in for free-time after lunch. The tail of a large cat occasionally enters frame as it roams the area full of blankets and pillows, and chocobo sounds pop up in the audio from time to time.]

The only two missions I've been on before camp have been awful, so I am fully expecting the next one to return to form.

Have there been any reports so far? Anybody turned into animals yet? Any giant squids in the lake? Any zombies?

Not that I've seen. Just some weird glowing out by the lake, and that could be algae for all I know.

That doesn't sound like we need the little science station to rig up a Geiger counter on the fly. I guess it might be worth checking after campfire time.

["Lake glowing (from mild radioactivity)" is unfortunately on the bingo card of previous CFUD experience. Easy enough to dodge, so long as the camp's water supply is not drawn from the lake. Or no-one swims in it or falls in from the canoes....]

As long as the grill is smoking, we'll be fine. It's the end of May, after all.
