For those who don't know me, I'm Dr. Robert Romano. As of a few days ago I was the only non-magical medical doctor in Etraya. If that's changed please talk to me, I'm so lonely.

And I'm serious about the fast squirrels, I also got anti-flea treatments for anyone covered in fur.

What exactly would be the role of an Overseer? We have the bots for general help, and a bunch of costumed heroes running around and making themselves useful. Everything is free so there's no crime.

The automatons are simply working as automatons might, naught more than helpful familiars by my measure. As for your question, an Overseer would maintain order to each of the habitats within this facility, often leading the researchers below them in tending to the needs of the creations and supplying them with what they might need to thrive within their particular environ. If these particular entities are not being properly cared for, then the Overseer is failing at their duty.

Why wouldn't everything be free? It is only the familiars who tend to work for rewards, but they are sufficiently satiated all the same.

That is not what I am suggesting. Rather, we have been brought here, and I have yet to meet any that I would consider suitable to oversee this facility. Let alone forcibly extracting others from their stars to fill it. That the one responsible would then further shamelessly prove his negligence is abhorrent in the extreme.

I heard his name is Echo, know you aught of him? Besides his lack of creature care, that is.

Echo is allegedly the intelligence in charge of all bubble cities. Aurora is in charge of this one.

Before coming here I was living in a different city with a different AI in charge, but the city had been taken over by someone who wanted more structure. Things got very stupid, but hey, maybe you know better.

So, there are other facilities. That is what I had suspected, but it is good to have such theories confirmed. Still, rather irresponsible that this Echo character would leave his creations to handle all of this, particularly if they can be overthrown by its charges.

I can only assume this since-fallen conqueror was less interested in diplomatic approaches to order?

As well they should. While I may believe there are better methods to maintain order and provide for the creations here, such an extreme method as mind control is a touch excessive. Particularly if she was naught more than another creation brought here to similarly be observed.

As I have not met everyone who resides within this bubble, I cannot say with certainty. However, I have yet to see one I would not name thus.

What is a creation?

Well, that is a rather complex question if I were to answer it in its entirety, but the short explanation is thus: entities or lifeforms created through powers of creation or aught similar. Any of their resulting offspring that would serve to propogate the species' continued existence would likewie fall under this category, regardless of their evolution thereafter being released into the world.

There are observable traits that mark one as a creation, all plain and obvious to those who are not.

Typical and reductive, I knew it would be beyond your ken. There is much that goes into engendering creations, arcane entities and living beings are all part of the process of it. Naming them artificial lifeforms regardless of their stage is simply crude and speaks of your ignorance in such matters.
