[He's not used anything like this before. But Vivi decides to give it a try. It seems like it would be important to learn how to do this, to talk to everyone, after all. He just added it to the list of things he is learning and is new to figuring out. Which is a rather long one, given he is only technically a few months old, but still. There's initially something akin to the dark sky, and two blinking....wait, eyes? Before the young mage shifts and tries to adjust things a little as he straightens his large hat.]

Is it....it's working? I think. Um. Hello? My name is Vivi. I'm new here, I guess? I'm still figuring this place out. I don't know if anyone has seen my friends, whether they are around here somewhere?

[Cue him holding up a drawing he did. Vivi isn't sure if it might help. But it can't hurt? He won't know unless he tries to ask? Right? He tilts his head, lowering it for a moment as he puts down the drawing and fidgets a little.]

I was told we were here to prove something. To save our home. But I'm not sure if I should be the one who was chosen. I'm not as brave as Zidane. I'm not important like Gar -- Dagger. There's lots of other black mages. So I'm not sure why me, out of everyone...?

[He's not sure if being here might somehow impact things. His short lifespan, and however long he might have left. Aware that because they had stopped the Mist, there was likely no way to create any more black mages. At least that he was aware of. He's sure that there were plenty of other, better options to bring to prove that their world was deserving enough to be saved. But he tries to shake that train of thought.]

This place is pretty amazing, though. There's so many things here that I haven't seen or done before! It's kind of exciting! Even if it is a little scary, too.


[But at least, regardless of what happens to him, he knows the others are alright. Hopes that Zidane is. Vivi isn't sure what else to say, exactly, so he pauses after a moment before fumbling to turn the feed off.]

By the way, what kind of stuff do you normally eat? Trying to get a baseline here.

[ornitiers]

Um, I don't know. There are things like pastries and cakes, pumpkins, you know, vegetables, that sort of thing? Stews.

[Quina would probably give far more examples. But also.....they also just kind of. Eat everything. So, Vivi isn't sure how much of that could be said to be actual food. Most don't always eat their enemies in battle.]

Yeah? Those are pretty normal things. I was worried there for a second.

[Okay, so at least he's had regular food before. Cool.] Got a preference for anything in particular?

[ornitiers]

Worried? Because I'm not human, you weren't sure what I might eat? Or what kind of food we had back home? Preference....I don't know. I don't think I'm too picky?

[It's kind of hard to be picky about.....anything, if you grow up in a swamp. So Vivi is fairly sure he'll probably eat almost anything the other might offer. Whatever was available, for the most part.]

A little bit of both, yeah. It's why I double check.

[But hmm, no preferences? Nothing?] Okay, how about this, anything you dislike? I'll at least try and keep that in mind.

[ornitiers]

I don't think so. As long as it isn't frogs.

[Which. Is probably not the case that people eat those, right? Just Quina? So Vivi doesn't necessarily see that that should be an issue. At least as far as he could tell, it didn't seem like Zidane and the others were keen on eating the frogs.]

[laserguy]

Okay, no frogs. I think I can manage that.

[Sounds gross, so no thanks!!] Later on, I'll help you with your list, knock out at least one food together.

[ornitiers]

No frogs! But ah, you would?

[Vivi is aware that some people might find his appearance strange, maybe unnerving. And that he is still so young. So he doesn't necessarily expect others to want to hang out like that. But he wouldn't say no, either. He smiles, nodding at the idea.]

[laserguy]

Yeah, why not? Could be fun.

[Seeing Vivi's reaction might be worth it, also, it's not like he'd say no to having a hamburger or whatnot. It's about as classic as they come.]

[ornitiers]

Okay!

[He smiles at that. Or, at least, his eyes seem to indicate as much. It isn't like his nose or mouth can otherwise be seen.]
