I'm a realist about my abilities in comparison to others I have seen here. If I am here, I would use the time creating.

Were I to be able to experience anything again, I would want to play music with my brother. I would even play one of his pieces if he insisted.

From home, I miss seeing the performances of the Opera Nationel. I always leave inspired and despairing of my own abilities; it encourages me to push my boundaries. They dance so beautifully it makes one weep.

Those are rather personal questions, but I will answer you truthfully. I miss speaking with my mother. She was kind and wise. And I would give anything to have the opportunity to speak with her again.

I play the harp and sing. My brother had a gift for the piano.

I'm afraid my dancing would be a pale reflection of theirs. It does indeed seem if there is to be art here, I will need to create it myself.

I am surrounded by people who I would never meet in other circumstances. I want to understand them.

I assure you I lack the patience needed to teach anyone. I would, however, have an interest in a place where one might sculpt or paint. As you seem to have been present here some time, would you have any recommendation?

you and me both. i'm not teaching anything, i'm just organization.

mmmm. i guess there are some places you can do that, but i don't know if they're just available just like that. the clubhouse, there's a church somewhere, a farm, a whole valley, depends on what you're really looking for. my building has space outside of it, so by all means, go for it.

i think there's some shit you just literally can't understand, but alas?

I miss the Karrnwood back home. It's a massive pine forest with a lot of streams running through it.

Organization is enough work in its own right. And rarely appreciated.

[ It's a good question. Clea doesn't know what she's really looking for. She has always had a space of her own in which to create. While some aspects of her art could be public, she finds the idea of working where someone could pass by unnerving. Particularly if she opts to attempt a Canvas here. ]

Ideally, somewhere private and protected by the elements. This is not an ideal situation. I will consider that, thank you.

That is true. There are some things which can only be understood by the person who goes through them. And yet humanity has still found art to be a balm for the soul. With the ability to speak across the ages, sometimes an experience you thought was only your own is shared by someone you will never meet, who has been gone for centuries.

Creation, too, helps. Perhaps you could try if you do not already. When others do not understand, you must rely on yourself.

How tall are the pines? Do they crowd out the sky, or is the sky open above so you can watch the clouds?

I did win! It helps that they didn't have any rules against doing it while shifted.

They're really tall. It's a very old forest. Although I don't really focus on the sky too much. I'm usually doing something like chasing deer through them, although I have howled at the moon before when I got to a clearing.

oh, we are about to have a little philosophical debate, cuz imma go with nope. your intention isn't guaranteed to be captured by the beholder. you can paint a 6, i can see a 9 because i'm looking at it through a different angle.

not that i'm not agreeing with you that art is great. it is, but ya know. levels. perception. mind matter. experience. all those things together make someone look at something 100 years in the future and go 'oh, i get it' and they do not get it anyway.

It could go multiple ways depending on presentation: the trees could be comforting and protecting like a blanket on a winter's night, or they could be oppressive, hemming in the audience like a cage. His sound more comforting. ]

You must have known the forest well to run through it in such a manner. I confess I have been tempted to yell loudly in nature, though never at the moon in particular.

I'm a wolf shifter. So I was shifted into my wolfman form.

[Which probably gives context to the rest of what he said. His status as a shifter wasn't a secret back home, so he sees no reason to hide it here. The Karrnath military saw it as an asset, and the extremist groups that took issues with shifters never took root where he lived.]

[ An argument! Delightful! Or it would be if she didn't mostly agree. Still, the discussion is a welcome one. In this odd land, some commonalities may be found. ]

Of course, but that does not change the spark of understanding experienced by the audience member. You are correct that audience interpretation can vary from an artist's intent, but that does not mean the balm is any less effective. It does not change the comfort derived or the inspiration gleaned. It's possible for an artist to say something true without realizing the message they've shared.

I've met people from a wide variety of places here. Earlier, I met someone who hails from Japan. I would be most intrigued if we were gifted an artist from somewhere quite far away. I know you've not had the chance to fully explore the art of the world, perhaps there would be some inspiration for you.
