I would hide in the Abyss, I think.

It's an area underneath the monastery. The plants can eat people though, so I wouldn't suggest it to everyone.

How aggressive are the plants?

They will likely attack anything in range that they consider worth catching.

How large are they?

I once saw a bird about 20 feet tall get devoured by a tree whose branches it was resting on. There are smaller plants too, but that would be an example of one of the largest kinds.

And something like that is in the abyss?

I haven't gone far enough in the one here to know yet, but there could be.

It sounds extensive. What else is in the Abyss?

Mushrooms. And animals.

There are some very nice buildings in the upper area though, before you get to the part I'm familiar with.
