um. i hope everyone is okay, after that stuff with looking for the vent.
i've been seeing some decorations? i think? and pumpkins? but i'm not sure what that's about. does anyone know? some of the other kids seem pretty excited...! and talking about dressing up? i'm not sure this was something we did back home, so. i guess there's still a lot to learn about things. different celebrations? or um, holidays! yeah! maybe we can celebrate lots of them! if there's people from all kinds of places, there's gotta be lots of holidays people celebrate that we can learn together, right? it'd be fun!

Of course, on modern day Earth, it's basically just a chance for children to go around in costumes so that people can admire them and give them sweets.

that doesn't sound so bad, on modern day earth.

It is very American holiday but has spread out to other lands. I have only recently had the opportunity to celebrate it, but I can see why it is enjoyed by more than just the children. It is a chance to have tamed scares.

However, a desire for tamer scares that come with Halloween's time of year are mostly harmless.

where I'm from, it's a holiday where kids dress up in costumes and go to houses saying 'trick or treat' to get candy
that's the treat BUT there can still be tricks sometimes!
playing pranks on people or spooking them for fun is a big tradition too
have you ever carved a pumpkin before?
that's also a tradition
basically, it's carving out the front of the pumpkin in a face or something
and putting a light in it to make it glow all cool like
then you use the seeds and insides to cook or bake something nice!

i haven't done that. i've had pumpkins with food before, but not like that? um, decoration?

they shouldn't be, but some people (usually, like, teenagers) can do harmful pranks
once of the classic ones though is just throwing toilet paper on someone's house or car to be silly
it's annoying to clean up, but doesn't hurt anyone
and yeah!!
it's for decoration, mostly
and just fun to be creative with

maybe i can try it. if everyone else is.

I was still pretty new so I didn't do much!

that's the fun of meeting people from different places, right? learning new stuff!
I can get us a couple of pumpkins so we can work on it
do you want a regular sized one?
or mini? I don't wanna assume anything, but they do come in smaller sizes which might be easier!!
