um. i hope everyone is okay, after that stuff with looking for the vent.

i've been seeing some decorations? i think? and pumpkins? but i'm not sure what that's about. does anyone know? some of the other kids seem pretty excited...! and talking about dressing up? i'm not sure this was something we did back home, so. i guess there's still a lot to learn about things. different celebrations? or um, holidays! yeah! maybe we can celebrate lots of them! if there's people from all kinds of places, there's gotta be lots of holidays people celebrate that we can learn together, right? it'd be fun!

Yes, exactly. It helps people not be afraid of things that aren't really there. If they can have controlled scares, it helps them feel the scare without the danger. I think it's close to something I've heard about adrenaline junkies.

People who are addicted to the feeling of elation that comes when you survive something your brain considers dangerous. I can understand it, but life is more than just exhilaration.

Yes, do you think life is only for seeking pleaasure? Sometimes, we must do things that we have to and do not make us happy. The problem with adrenaline junkies is that they continue to seek bigger and more dangerous 'highs'.

However, a desire for tamer scares that come with Halloween's time of year are mostly harmless.
