UN: JUSTSOPHIE | TEXT
time for the bimonthly NYX report. introductions, i'm sophie cuckoo, your resident telepathic mutant barbie, hopefully it's nice to meet you. anyway, if you're new here, there's a gigantic building in charronway that i run for community strengthening purposes, called NYX. we have classes from swordfighting to demonic magic 101, and we serve homemade lunch and dinner made by our people.
so, as per usual, if there is a class you'd like to take or teach, please let me know and i'll see what i can do. second thing, we need more cooks, so if you want to help out, also just let me know.
place is also available for meetings, gatherings, parties if you're fun and know how to throw one, lectures, or whatever. i'm there during the afternoon, chrissy takes the morning shift, and always go through her first if you need me during that time.
as the end of it, as per usual, as a building exercise, let's do the usual. it goes over so well whenever i do it. tell me your problems, and i'll tell you how to fix them*.

The sword and magic isn't my mutation. I can create stepping discs. They're like portals that let me teleport whatever I want through time and space.
Remember when I said I grew up in Hell? It's true, but that's the vague version. When I was six, I was kidnapped to a dimension called Limbo by a demon named Belasco. He tried to use my soul to summon his gods. I learned magic and made the soulsword there, but it also linked my discs to Limbo. I use it as a midpoint.
Echo doesn't like me being able to do that, so she blocked my mutation somehow.

And yes. I don't know. I've spent my whole life trying to unlink myself from Limbo, but I never could. It's like
[Like she's irrevocably tainted by it, is what she thinks. She means to delete the half finished thought but accidentally sends the message instead. Ughhh.]
Taking away my mutant power completely feels like a violation.
[And even taking away her link to Limbo without her permission or involvement does, but she doesn't want to look at that part of it too hard.]

not really? i mean. a little. i haven't been a mutant for as long as you or the others. did i mention that? i had my powers for like three days before i arrived in etraya.
it was kind of cool i guess, seeing everything the way it should be. even if it was all foggy and shit.
but i guess i'm glad it's back??
[Because then he wouldn't be a mutant anymore, right? Would Sophie and the others still accept him? ...Maybe, probably. Yeah.]

but also it felt stupid to swing a baseball bat around when i'm now used to firing beams out of my eyes.
