CHIRPER

Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:
  • Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
  • When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
  • Characters can either like ✅ or dislike ❌ others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
  • This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
  • For those who do post a top level, profiles are worth 5 extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These 5 extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.
Please feel free to switch out any of the Q&A questions with those listed here!

[One can imagine him sighing in frustration. Children.]

Then let us vacation somewhere together this weekend. Where would you like to go?

You know this world far better than I. I'm sure you'd be better suited to pick an ideal spot for idle visit than I would.

[She might be doing this on purpose.]

I have more experience. I suppose. To picture somewhere nice.

[He might be speaking about more than vacations.]

There is a wonderful church within the city I think you will appreciate.

That does sound quite nice. If it's impressed you enough to mention, it must be beautiful.

Of course. The place originates from the home of the young lady who works at the museum, I believe.

The one who tends the gardens? I met her. She seems quite pleasant.

More pleasant than most. I suppose. People can fool you.

But she seems reliable.

[Which is the biggest compliment he's given anyone.]
arever: (downcast)

High praise from you.

Trust is a dangerous thing, but far more easily traded in times of peace. You worry too much, papa.

[Praise not easily given.]

Parents should when they have children, Alicia. But I remember those days when I had no need to worry.

[And those days were ones he wanted back again, even with the world ticking down towards destruction.]

Perhaps we can have those days again. Or at least reach a happy medium, with so many less of the Canvas' worries here.

I am not averse to such promise. But until that machine confirms our world and people can be saved, promises is all she has to offer.

[Empty promises are no motivation. But what other choice does their world have?]

[Ah. Right. That. She hadn't really paid too close attention to that, given... everything. Existence in this kinder world was payment enough for the missions, for her.

She's glad this is a text conversation, so he can't see her slight hesitation.]

We can at least try, in the downtime. Your truce with Maelle is proof enough of moving towards a better future.

[There is no difference between text and vocal communication. Surely as she knows her father, he knows his daughter.]

There is no truce. There is understanding. I suppose. I have simply avoided them whenever possible. But they insist on intruding upon our family business.

[And hitting him with a car. Apparently.]

[Semantics, papa!]

They are friends with Verso, so it is only natural. But there is no real reason for us to fight here. Surely we are all mature enough to handle an occasional confrontation without falling back into our old ways, yes?
