[Daniil posts live from a café near the museum. He has no patience for typing responses, and his own visage should explain why. His nose has recently been broken and reset. He looks exhausted and irritated, but he has a duty.]

I need a couple people to come down to the café near that absurd museum with the sewn up fruit exhibits. Bring a stretcher, we have a patient who could use some more urgent treatment.

[From somewhere offscreen, a voice that is distinctly not Daniil’s states:] This Etrayan shot me in an attempt to get information I did not possess. I would appreciate his removal from my presence.

Now- That’s not true at all. That is not the reason you were stopped. [Daniil now regrets making a video, but what’s done is done. ]

Midoriya, in full Hero gear as Deku, arrives with his unruly green hair more windswept than ever and marches in. It's a feat to both ignore Daniil and to keep an eye on him, but he somehow manages it. For Castor he has a much gentler demeanor. His eyes sweep over his condition.

"I'm Deku. I'm just going to make sure you're safe and stable. You'll be okay. Someone's coming soon."

Imminently, as he knows it's Superman. Midoriya would like to make sure nothing else happens between Castor and Daniil in the meantime.

He's met two Etrayans so far, a young man who helped him with a bot, and the weird violent one that shot him. So odds are 50/50 on whether or not this new one will be okay.

It's kind of nice that this one seems wary at the angry one rather than at him.

"I am neither a danger nor under imminent threat by my injuries. I might be under threat by him, however." He nods at Daniil.

Castor isn't very expressive; there isn't much intonation in his voice, and his movements are brief and purposeful. But he is in pain, and he keeps his attention on Daniil, like a startled cat.

"I think he's done with you now." There is a finality to his tone that suggests Midoriya means to ensure that. He's not tall by any stretch of the imagination, nor is he acting particularly tough, but he is definitely more muscular than the doctor.

Midoriya can see that Castor emotes differently than what he's used to seeing. Midoriya resolves to adapt. Even if Castor turns out to be super mean or whatever, a Hero still has his duty. Midoriya keeps his voice low and gentle, the way he's learned from other Heroes in rescue situations. He moves to try blocking view of Daniil, hoping it will help put Castor at ease.

"That foot can't stay that way for long, but also I shouldn't touch it if you're going to be seen to so soon. Would you like some water? Or I can get you something with electrolytes in it. And we should do something about the pain, but..."

He awkwardly looks over his shoulder in the direction of Daniil.

"Can you hold out a little longer with that?"

Daniil shrugs at Midoriya when he looks at him.

Midoriya arrives at the base after Castor has been properly seen to. He has more faith that the other doctor won't shoot Castor in the foot, but it's a good idea to check in. He politely knocks on the door with an "Excuse me," before entering with a care package. Among the contents in the box are a change of clothes and a toothbrush.

"How are you feeling? I brought you some things you'll be needing. And if it's okay with you, I wanted to know what Dr. Dankovsky was asking you."

What went wrong? Midoriya has experience talking to someone who has been hurt, but every situation is unique. This, too, is Hero work, so he's still in his full gear of jumpsuit, gauntlets, and armored shoes. He has a feeling he'll simply be living in his costume for the foreseeable future.

Castor is looking... more or less the same to the untrained eye. But someone with experience would notice he's more relaxed. His foot is bandaged properly now and he's not currently in any pain.

"I am better. Dankovsky asked what everyone has been asking since I was put in this body. I don't have the answers."

And, unfortunately for the Etrayan visitors, he will be reluctant to give them any information that could help the man that shot him. He's not above being petty.

"Put in this body... against your will?"

The concern on his face is real as he sets the box down on the nearest surface. It's not unheard of for someone to be haunted by a Quirk vestige, but... Midoriya gets the feeling this is something else entirely.

"Yes. Are you not sharing information with each other?"

He thought it'd be common knowledge by now that he was turned human against his will and that the city went into disarray after that.

Dankovsky had sounded aware, at least. He supposes it's not surprising he wouldn't disclose anything other than his perceived win.

Well... Dr. Dankovsky is in the dog house at the moment. He simply directed Midoriya to get information out of Castor. Midoriya, however, is interested in more than that.

"I didn't have a chance to discuss details with the doctor," he says truthfully if awkwardly. He knows some things, but, "I wanted to hear your version of events anyway. And what happened that led the doctor to hurt you?"

Midoriya always puts things politely (except when he doesn't) and that often takes the form of an understatement. He has Daniil's answer to that question, and now he would like Castor's. The things they've said so far could both be true, but Midoriya doesn't want to take anything for granted.

"He kicked a bot while demanding I appeared, when I did he insulted me repeatedly, demanded I give him answers, was unsatisfied with my responses, threatened to shoot one of my bots, and when I turned to leave, he shot me."

His retelling is fairly dispassionate. He thinks it's a fair re-telling, very factual.

He has a funny way of not showing tone. Midoriya's mouth twists to the side a little. He suspects that's not the whole story, but he hears him out.

"We're all frustrated because most of us have had to deal with attempts on our lives since coming here. You're all frustrated because of the same, and your city is being destroyed. Let's just work together to deal with the Enforcers. How did they get so much power and what can we do to stop them for good?"

Oh, this boy also wants information he doesn't have.

"I don't know. I don't know him, I don't know what he wants, I don't know how to stop him."

He's annoyed he has to answer the same questions twice, but he's trying to give Deku a clear answer, mostly so he doesn't have to do this again.

"I believe he is like Echo and he is currently staying at the top of the tower where he's murdering people."

If people want to go to the murder tower that's on them.

Don't go to Murder Tower on Murder Lane... Midoriya is a big damn Hero, and it's likely he'll meddle without being asked. Unfortunately, having only recently arrived in Etraya, he doesn't have a full grasp of the powers at work here. He only knows that Echo is very powerful and has transitioned somehow. Congrats to Echo?

"He's staying in the same complex they're dragging people into? I guess there's no sense in maintaining double secure locations... But then what about the basement floors in the Museum?"

These are the only two locations in the city he knows of that are both well-maintained and secure. It makes them stand out as important to the one(s) in power.

"That is where my body was housed."

He doesn't know if it's still there, he lost all contact with his bots and servers when he was shoved into this body.

"I would advise you to speak to each other rather than to me."

By now they know more than Castor does. He genuinely has no idea of why this was done to him or what the culprit's goal is.

Midoriya has no idea what his old body looked like, but the fact remains that Castor was forced into this body against his will.

"It... could still be there since the place isn't totally destroyed. I'd like to get you back into your real body, but I have no idea how."

He doubts it could be as simple as that. It must have taken powerful magic to rip him out of it. His brows knit with genuine concern, but he squares his shoulders resolutely.

"At any rate, I want to do all I can to save this city and its people. That includes you. It's what I do at home."

"The process isn't reversible by anyone brought to a bubble city."

Only Echo or the person who did it could maybe turn him back, and Castor suspects not even they could.

"It would be like trying to turn a table back into a tree. But I do hope you can help the other humans."

This boy seems to be kind and purposeful. Hopefully he'll manage something.
