[Daniil posts live from a café near the museum. He has no patience for typing responses, and his own visage should explain why. His nose has recently been broken and reset. He looks exhausted and irritated, but he has a duty.]

I need a couple people to come down to the café near that absurd museum with the sewn up fruit exhibits. Bring a stretcher, we have a patient who could use some more urgent treatment.

[From somewhere offscreen, a voice that is distinctly not Daniil’s states:] This Etrayan shot me in an attempt to get information I did not possess. I would appreciate his removal from my presence.

Now- That’s not true at all. That is not the reason you were stopped. [Daniil now regrets making a video, but what’s done is done. ]

Oh, I don't care about my reputation. I'm a bad man, Doc. Ain't no saving me.

[That's not true.]

I guess I am an intimidating sort. If it's between being tied up and killed outright, plenty pick the former. You ain't got that same effect on people, but that's why bringing someone else along goes a long way when you're such a little guy.

[thantagonist]

Is that right? You shoot awfully quick, I’ll give you that, like a man whose life really depends on it. I’ve never seen- well, heard, such quick shots in my life. I’m not certain we have the same sort of revolvers or bullets! [Its a joke, but he is still in awe of that moment.]

If you’re offering to loom while I talk, well. Maybe I don’t have to work so alone.

[pardamned]

A hard life demands quick reflexes, but I ain't the best shootist around, I'm sure.

[He certainly is one of the best gunslinger of his time, even if he pretends otherwise.]

Sure, I gotta pull my own weight here. Next time you get the bright idea to intimidate a man, bring me along. I got a way of making people sing.

Consider me properly scared of whoever you would cede that title to.

[Daniil grins about this. He reimagines the entire mess with Castor, but with Arthur backing him up, cutting off the exits.]

I think it would have indeed gone even better. Alright, I’ll keep that in mind. I never asked what your work was. I think I just assumed you were a cowboy, but you have a more serious edge to you, isn’t that right?

[pardamned]

I'm a lot of things when the circumstances call for it, but to keep it simple: I'm an outlaw. Not the type doctors usually dirty their hands or company with, but I guess being here where there ain't no law, it might be a bit of a misnomer.

[There's little reason to lie about himself at this point. The Pinkertons aren't here, and any laws he's broken or bad blood he's spilled are likewise somewhere else. Sure, he could lie about his past, start new here, but he's certain that the truth would reveal itself eventually, with the nature of this place.]

There’s little reason to break any laws. There’s no money, no real hierarchy.

[The stereotypical thought occurs to him.]

Did you rob banks?

[pardamned]

Points are as good as money, but the only bank we got is ran by Ms. Aurora.

[Who has been kind enough to make good on making his points more physical than digital.]

But yeah, I've robbed a few. [His mind goes to Hosea laying bloodied and dying on the streets of Saint Denis. Something in his gaze darkens a moment.] Why?

Just curious. You live a life that’s about as foreign as I can imagine. Somewhere hot with cactuses. This is the sort of image that is conjured in my mind.

[Daniil sort of likes this video thing. He can stare as openly as he wants at someone else. Ordinarily that would be a little taboo. ]

Well, you’ve been chosen to represent your people. Echo must have seen something in you. Capable hands, at the very least.
