We're all back from Eos. I don't know how it was for everyone else, but I got to live in a house with two beautiful women and a charming young man. There was a baby, too, but we had to leave her behind.
Now I'm in this flat that I moved into not long before we left for Eos, and it's fine, really, but it seems a bit empty. I know it won't be that way for long, since I'm very much used to living alone, but I wonder if anyone else feels a bit off after sharing a house with other people for a month.
And is it weird if I miss her? I know she wasn't a real baby, but she was so cute and sweet. Wherever you are, I hope you're doing well, little Violet.

I’d like that
What’s your apartment number?
switch to action?
Once his guest knocks on the door, Hob goes to answer it with a smile. The apartment is no different from the other one-bedroom flats with the same layout. ]
Hello, Daisy. Come on in. Sorry about the boxes. I didn't get to do a lot of unpacking before we were moved to Eos.
Perfect!
Hey. Thanks for the invite.
[She looks around at said boxes, surprised that he’d have anything to unpack.]
Did you show up here with all of this?
no subject
No, just the clothes on my back. Some people have been here for awhile, so I thought I should get a few things. More clothes, obviously. Some toiletries. A few things for the kitchen. Some books to pass the time. Stuff like that. I didn't have the chance to get it all sorted before we were moved, though.
[ He moves to the table. ]
I hope you like whiskey.

[Daisy was thankful to have less space now. The house felt so empty, as it had only been her and her baby living there.]
I do.
[Daisy leans against the side of the table, glancing back at some of the boxes.]
What do you like to read?
no subject
[ And he liked how cozy it was. Though his Eos house was busy enough with other people living there. A nod and he pours some of the whiskey into her glass and sets it before her, then pours his own. ]
History, mostly. Biographies. Some classic literature. Stuff like that. I had a modest collection of books back home. What about you? Like to read or do you just toss monsters around for fun?
no subject
[Picking up her glass, she waits for him to do the same before taking a sip. Smiling against the rim of her glass when he teases her about her power.]
No. When I’m not tossing around monsters, I’m more a movie and TV person.
no subject
Oh really? Like what? Maybe our universes share those in common, too.

I’ve watched a lot of horror films, like Paranormal Activity. My—
[She doesn’t often talk about her life before all of this, but a smile comes to her face.]
My friends got me into them. Same with Doctor Who.
[That was all Fitz and Simmons’ doing.]
no subject
I was never much into horror movies.
[ Though that snake made Hob feel like he was in one for awhile. ]
But naturally, I approve of Doctor Who.
no subject
I figured you would.
[He is English after all.]
What kind of movies do you like then?
no subject
Hm, adventure? Something with some action. Though I didn't imagine I'd be living something like those movies here. Dramas. I'd even call a romance film a guilty pleasure.
no subject
[Daisy eyes him up and down, jokingly assessing him.]
Pride and Prejudice?
no subject
That's low hanging fruit. Everyone likes Pride and Prejudice.
[ So she's not wrong. ]
no subject
Can’t say I’ve ever seen it.
[Picking up her glass again, she smiles against the rim before taking a sip.]
no subject
[ Hob wouldn't mind seeing the movie again. ]
What do you like about horror movies, exactly?
no subject
If you can find it, sure.
[Putting the glass back down on the table, Daisy crosses her arms over her chest and leans back in her chair. Mulling his question over.]
I guess I never really thought about it. I mean, watching others jump is pretty funny. Sometimes the plots are good, other times they’re so bad that they’re good.
What about you and romance movies?
no subject
Sort of the same, I guess. Sometimes they're so bad, they're good? Other times it's nice to just see a happy ending for a change. A lot of movies can be real downers, you know?
no subject
Yeah, I know.
[Thats been her entire life. Sad endings. Daisy takes another swig of her drink.]
I guess we’ll have to go on the hunt for movies with happy endings then.

[ Hob did manage to pick up some books, but he's still learning a lot about this place. He can't put his finger on what seems to be bothering her, but maybe a movie really would cheer her up. ]
no subject
[She shrugs, looking out the window in thought.]
We could go check, if you want.
no subject
We can? Don't tell me you've seen a Blockbuster video pop up over night.
no subject
No, but that would be an insane throwback if it did.
[She hasn't actively thought about Blockbuster in who knows how long.]
But, maybe one of the stores around here carries them.
no subject
Sure, why not? We can go look. Unless you'd rather continue sitting here and get sloshed.
[ Which is still not a bad way to spend the evening. ]
no subject
Was that your plan? To get sloshed tonight?
