If you were given an egg and don't intend to care for it, I'm willing to nurse it in your stead. My nest is large enough to incubate several.

( ooc: i will be handwaving all physical exchanges for convenience's sake.

please note: eggs that are given away will not hatch, so this is really just a relatively "guilt-free" way for a character to get rid of an egg if they don't plan to participate. )

They had blankets that can be plugged into and outlet and produce heat. If I cover the nest with one, it helps to maintain temperature.

Well now, that beats the trick I was using. I'll have a look around for one of these blankets.

What "trick" were you using?

Heating a stone slab and covering that with thick blankets. Nothing too elaborate, though it does get tiring hefting the thing around the kitchen. I never was one for fire spells, and too much heat's as bad as too little.

Yes, I think this would be far more convenient for you.

Do you know whether they have those portable power sources around here?

[ A pause, and he thinks to clarify— ]

Batteries, I think they call them. First time seeing them was Moorecroft. I can imbue a weapon with electricity, but I don't know about a blanket.

[ ah, batteries. something that he actually knows! ]

They stock several different kinds of battery. I'm not sure they're compatible with the blankets, though.

I'll have to have myself a look, then. Don't have electricity in my corner of our little world here.
