If you are concerning yourself with the fallacy of morals and ethics then you are seeking some manner of fulfillment, even if you have deluded yourself to believe otherwise. Whether through redemption, or some idiotic belief that doing "good" matters in any way, this still ultimately serves some facet of your ego.
