there's a lot of younger people in the mix as well
before the adults get involved and start poo pooing the idea of *kids* saving the world
I'm sure mine isn't the only one that's been saved by the younger gen a time or two

any teens or 20 somethings need a place to hangout

there's several games, an archery range, gym, and a lot of other things that can be used to either train or just relax

I think it's good to have some space where everyone can just be normal with no pressure for anything

My uncle took me to the shooting range a couple times when I was younger. That seems a little more feasible to work on than becoming Robin Hood, since I'm assuming that took you more than a couple weekend to pick up.

Do you mind if I ask: why a bow, anyway? Obviously you're effective with it, but it does seem harder than some alternatives.

when I was a kid I was rescued by the Avengers from a bad situation

now the team has always changed
this time there was Captain America who is a super soldier
Thor who is an actual Asgardian
and all these other superheroes with powers of some kind or another
except there was one man standing there, one human without any powers or any other edge but a bow
and it was amazing
I knew right then that was what I wanted to do

if he could save others like that
so could I
and then I picked up a bow and learned how to use it
along with a lot of other weapons and martial arts

You know, you say you're as boring as anyone else, and then you say something like that. Most people who get saved by superheroes don't turn around and try to do something constructive with their lives. They get right back to whatever they were doing before.

I just mean I know how to be a kid/teen in a world of adults

but I was already on the path to doing good
my mom had instilled a sense of social justice and doing what we could for others because we had more than a lot of others

Most people with more than others aren't that interested in looking out for the little guys. Not that I don't think you're already aware of that.

You can take the compliment without me thinking you're hung up on yourself, by the way. That's really not the impression I'm getting from 'childhood dream of becoming a hero turned reality, and also a free clubhouse for disadvantaged, displaced multiversal youth'.

no pushing people through walls
he might teleport you out of the building or something if you really piss him off
but not over a video game

I'm kidding. Good for you. I'm not sure how much less surreal that makes this, but at least you've got your own room.

at least here we can have Billy check the place out for bugs or other problems and maybe add protection to the building

Not to sound paranoid, but how much does sweeping for bugs matter when we're all carrying them around on top of our ears?

Unless you're planning to ban them from the building, which isn't the worst idea.
