so new people showing
hi everyone! I'm Kate, or Hawkeye
there's a lot of younger people in the mix as well
before the adults get involved and start poo pooing the idea of *kids* saving the world
I'm sure mine isn't the only one that's been saved by the younger gen a time or two

anyway
I've found a building here that is basically mine from home
my home
it's marked as Bishop Publishing

any teens or 20 somethings need a place to hangout
it's open
there's several games, an archery range, gym, and a lot of other things that can be used to either train or just relax

[address of building here]

feel free to join us
it's all good

I think it's part of my charm.

True. Construction isn't my forte, but I think there's something about building a foundation on bedrock or... something something to keep everything from listing to one side. Don't ask me, I can't level a picture frame.

I think surveillance is more likely than mind-reading. Isn't it? Did anyone get something that's only been in their head?

And you're charming. Some people have all the luck.

You don't really have to know construction. Just physics. Let's both hope one of the next missions isn't Habitat for Humanity, though.

I don't know. That's interesting. It'd be worth testing out. Likely would want to find someone with a strong imagination to do it, if it hasn't been tried already.

I said charm. I'm not going to publicly lay claim to "charming".

I took high school physics. Does that count?

Did you meet anyone particularly artsy? Somebody with a really strong mind's eye. They'd have to be able to think of it like it's real.

And humble! You're a real triple threat.

It's what I'm counting for myself, so I'd say yes.

I haven't exactly been asking. Another thing to add to the 'getting to know you' checklist. Or we could wait for a world saving freehand painting competition.

Am I missing something?

[ Why all the flattery? It’s so much. ]

If Aurora is reading this, please no painting competitions. I want my world to live.

Are you? It sounds like you've got it all.

I'm messing with you, FYI.

[ He can hand out a dollop of mercy, from time to time. Especially if it prevents him from being misconstrued as a genuine suck up. ]

At least you've got world-doomingly bad art skills to humanize you.

Great, mess with someone else. And come on, I’m humanized. What am I supposed to do? Start every conversation on this thing like a social media bio?

Why not? We're supposed to be advocating for ourselves. Might as well be putting your best foot forward at all times.

I'll start. Krouse, 18, Wisconsin, USA, Earth. I like long walks on the beach, playing games that aren't bullshit, and speculative conversations about how fucked we all are.

What Aurora hates the beach?

Then we’re both doomed, because I’m from Jersey. My name’s Tim, I’m 17, and I like arcades, skateboarding, and artichoke on pizza. Think that’ll get me in good with the powers that be?
