so new people showing
hi everyone! I'm Kate, or Hawkeye
there's a lot of younger people in the mix as well
before the adults get involved and start poo pooing the idea of *kids* saving the world
I'm sure mine isn't the only one that's been saved by the younger gen a time or two

anyway
I've found a building here that is basically mine from home
my home
it's marked as Bishop Publishing

any teens or 20 somethings need a place to hangout
it's open
there's several games, an archery range, gym, and a lot of other things that can be used to either train or just relax

[address of building here]

feel free to join us
it's all good

Yes, you're right. That was stupid of me to assume.

I can understand that. Although I figured from the technology and Aurora's explanation that things would be different here.

Not necessarily. Maybe board game jail is normal where I'm from. It's not, but you can't rule that out being true somewhere.

There's different and there's different. It's not the big things, like powers vs no powers. It's more the ways people think. Different moral values, and so on.

I haven't played many modern games either so it could be that.

Yes, the whole "your having to defend your world" thing shows that particular difference quite well. Especially with us not knowing what the powers that be consider good and bad.

Weird question: are you not from modern times?

Yeah. I'd love a look at the rules of this game. Then again, figuring them out might be part of the test.

It was 1997 in my world. I just didn't get to do much as a kid.

[Putting it very lightly.]

That wouldn't surprise me at all.

Then I guess you've got a chance to make up for it.

[ 1997. Close enough to be almost familiar, if not for whatever weird, sheltered upbringing this guy had. ]

Me either. So it goes.

I've got some errands to run, but I'll keep you in mind for games night.

Yes. For better or for worse.

Alright. Just let me know. I doubt I'll be busy with much.
