Peter Parker Spider-Man has already confirmed he'd vanished for months — which is totally crazy, because he feels like he hasn't been gone all that long — but here he is! In all of his 'confused but has spirit' energy that had gotten him through his time in Etraya before.]

Just gone long enough to apply to, like, fifty barista and pizza guy jobs back home.

... Swinging around doesn't pay rent, y'know.

[He's perched on his tippy-toes, on top of one of the tallest buildings in Etraya.

That's okay! I don't think anyone believes that you were trying to get out of giving gifts.

[Well, Chrissy doesn't, and she can't think of a single reason why anyone else would either.]

How did it feel to be home like that?

[She imagines it would probably be pretty strange.]

Maybe it was a good thing that he had nobody to buy presents for, for Christmas.

(Yikes.)]

It was... normal. Really, weirdly normal. I didn't remember anything about Etraya.

[She hadn't really given any gifts, or done much to celebrate at all, and she's still not entirely sure how to feel about that. Vance isn't here. Mike had disappeared, and while she's made a handful of acquaintances, none of them are really more than that. Celebrating hadn't seemed all that important.

Maybe she should have made more of an effort, despite all that.]

Normal is good, right? [Hearing that doesn't make her terribly happy, though, because it means that Mike has likely forgotten everything that happened while he was here, too.] I suppose it makes sense that you didn't remember if you ended up back home right where you left off.

Yeah. I don't like it though. Losing parts of my memory, it's screwed up.

If they're gonna force us to deal with all of this, they should at least let us remember.

I know that feeling. Did you remember everything as soon as you got back?

[It feels like a safe assumption to make, but there's no way to know for sure. Maybe it's different for everyone.]

You'd think they'd want us to, given why we're all here.

Guess they don't want to mess up our timelines.

Still, it's really, really weird to have memories one minute, then none the next.

I feel like an amnesiac!

[It probably doesn't apply to her since she can't really go home, but now that they're talking about it, she's curious.]

I'm sorry you forgot everything. Did you get to do Christmas at home instead?

Maybe. Possibly. I think it could.

But I think every person who makes their own choices can change the future...

[The freedom of choice certainly causes a lot of things that nobody considers. One man's decision in profession that cause the safety or deaths of hundreds. It's kind of crazy to think about.]

I'm not really as big on Christmas as I used to be. Living alone back home, and all that.

I feel like it might, though I'm not sure how much someone could actually change things if they went home and remembered everything they'd learned here.

[It would probably depend a lot on who that someone was and what kinds of things she could do.]

Yea, I think you're right about that.

[There are definitely things she'd do differently, knowing everything she knows now, though she doubts that any of them would make a difference in the long run.]

As lame as it sounds, I kind of miss being able to celebrate with the kids I was sitting for.

Well, if we're here next Christmas, lets try to make this one more festive.

This place can get kind of crazy, but... we've all got each other for the holiday seasons.

[She's not entirely sure how to feel about the prospect of being here next Christmas, but if the alternative is being someplace else, Chrissy isn't sure that she has many options, all things considered.]

It's been interesting so far. No weird cruise ships to speak of.

I wouldn't trust me around an oven, but I could totally decorate the local trees.

[Y'know. Swinging around and whatnot.]

Too bad we don't have a lot of chimneys around her; I could drop presents down them.

I don't really know you all that well yet, but I feel like the amount of times you've been around to help people should be enough to put you firmly at the top of the nice list.
