Looking for a mechanic capable of fixing a prosthetic arm, altruistic introverts highly preferred, opportunistic assholes also acceptable.
Age irrelevant, but if you're a child I will comment on it.

Why do you ask?

Sounds like you got teleporters, but like you don't have penicillin. It's very confusing.

We have large-scale teleportation, yes. We've also got firearms, automobiles, hoverboards, record players, and so on. Is that the sort of information you're looking for?

One of your... compatriots mentioned life expectancy in your world is about 40 years old.

I did see you have several offers to help you with your arm already, but I doubt anyone can match Jayce's skill. Except perhaps Viktor. [Who has wisely decided to steer clear of this whole mess.] Harold Finch seems to know what he's doing as well.
If you accept help from Sevika, you may well end up with a chem-powered arm with claws for fingers.

Your world sounds terrifying, by the way.

How does it sound different to your world? What's the technology like where you're from?

No teleportation, and it sounds like your prosthetics are decades ahead from what I know. So you win some, you lose some.

Technically, magic is banned in Piltover. There was a war, a long time ago, that was fought by rival nations wielding powerful magical runes. It decimated entire empires and changed the face of the land itself. After the war ended, our city's founder wanted to create a place dedicated to science and technology, where magic and mages couldn't cause any further destruction. Jayce and Viktor have figured out how to use technology to harness the power of magic, allowing them to create magical effects – like teleportation via the hexgates – without being mages themselves.
Proper magic's quite common in other parts of the world, though. My family originally came to Piltover from Ionia, where the border between our world and the spirit realm is thin. The land itself is said to be infused with magic; there are trees that light up and creatures that sing and dragons thirty metres high. I've always wanted to visit, but I've never had the chance.
If your world hasn't got any of that, what do you have instead? Is medicine the primary profession of the place you're from?
There's quite a lot of mechanical knowledge in Piltover. We're renowned for it. It's no wonder our prosthetics are advanced. I don't know many children who can build bombs— [That's easy to say, since she doesn't know any children.] —but studies in things like engineering can begin young.

There's many professions. Medicine isn't one of the most popular ones, but if you're good enough it's emotionally rewarding and well compensated.
There's too many lawyers.

[Technically, that's a lie. She was fired. But no one here
except Sevika and Jayceknow that, so she's going to keep lying about it.]no subject

What were you protecting the city from? Its citizens?
