Uh... sorry? [Chagrin tone.] I was curious about an idea, since I still consider myself fairly new to this situation. Here's hoping you all with entertain me here:

What does a sense of community mean or feel like to you?

[A beat of a pause.]

Is it friends and family? Is it gathering places and camaraderie? How about a sense of people uniting for a specific purpose in mind? Everyone here has their own agendas and their own interests, and, with no overt crime present at the moment, it's curious to me how we could build a sense of community around these parts.

I like that. I never thought of community being a herd, but it makes sense when you explain it like that.

How would you feel about a herd in this place someday?

Hm.

[Now that’s a tricky question to ask. Especially towards somewhat who prefers to be loyal to those he loves back in his home world. It takes him a few minutes of silence before he responds.]

That really depends on the circumstances. Assuming that no one here causes too much trouble or gets sent away without any warning, I'll be fine with working with the people in this place to save our worlds. But at the same time, I also have a herd of my own back where I'm from.

So you're at least willing to be collaborative even if it we don't call ourselves a herd of sorts. That's more than I expect some will provide.

The point is to allow you to return to your herd back home.

I understand that not everyone here are going to be cooperative. This place pulls in all sorts of people from different places.

As much as I would’ve liked to return to my herd, I have no clue on when’s that going to happen. Heard that people disappear one day without warning and they rarely come back.

Agreed. For some people, being cooperative is not in their best interest or agendas.

I suppose all we can do is make the most of the situation, right?

Yeah, I guess making the most of our situation is the best course of action. At least for now.

Until we have more information on how we can ascertain certain information. The more we work together, the more everyone is in the know.

Of course. Having more people cooperating makes it easier to find and spread information, especially in regard to our circumstances in the missions that we've been given.

True. Unfortunately information can be withheld for certain gains. Where I'm from, information is a form of power.

Not surprised to hear that. Must've been easy for certain people to mislead others into doing their own bidding.

For some, that's how their worlds work. They operate within that system. Information is necessary here, but it is nice to see people are generally thoughtful and respectful about sharing.

Are there any people like that here? I mean the ones who operate in that system you mentioned?

I've seen a few, yeah. For some, it's as easy as breathing.

Do you mind telling me know they are so that I can keep an eye out for them?

I wouldn't know enough of the people here to give names, but if you see a guy with a scarred up left side of his face from Zaun, that's one.
