[He was still learning this whole earpiece device, so excuse him for it turning on and there sound like someone was fiddling with the setting. Where was his far more technologically inclined smart kid to help him? Ah well, he did realize it was on sooner than later thankfully.]

Uh... sorry? [Chagrin tone.] I was curious about an idea, since I still consider myself fairly new to this situation. Here's hoping you all with entertain me here:

What does a sense of community mean or feel like to you?

[A beat of a pause.]

Is it friends and family? Is it gathering places and camaraderie? How about a sense of people uniting for a specific purpose in mind? Everyone here has their own agendas and their own interests, and, with no overt crime present at the moment, it's curious to me how we could build a sense of community around these parts.

I think... Etraya is actually probably the closest to actual community I've felt in a while for myself, which- Yeah! That's been kind of crazy for me, really, considering how we're all from different worlds and stuff.

Uhm, but- What makes it feel like that is kind of the fact we are all different, but here for a common cause and - for the most part, I think - working towards it. No one wants their worlds to die or anything, so we're helping each other out to make sure our homes are safe. Some people might have different ideas of what that means, exactly, but they're still trying. I want to believe they are, anyway.

And, like. Family is what you make it, right? I don't know that I'd call some people here that just yet but pretty close, which! I already didn't have a good relationship with my actual family back home, so, maybe I'm just a bit biased there of sometimes people you befriend can be better than blood ties.

I didn't mean to ramble or anything though! I guess I had more thoughts on it all than I realized.

You're speaking the same language as I am, which is nice to hear. Thanks for voicing your thoughts on your impression of most of us working for the same goal and willing to help each other out to accomplish that. I suppose that competing agendas on how we accomplish that is the biggest sticking point that I've observed.

And you're right. Where I'm from, family is what you make of it rather than the blood ties. Blood can be important but everyone can be family. None of the people I consider closest to me are blood related.

Hey, you have a nice sounding voice, so ramble all you like.

Yeah, well- I know not everyone agreed on stuff with the King on the train, for example, but I think everyone thought they were trying to help in their own ways. [ Like, sure, rioting and violence wasn't good but... The Dregs also weren't being treated well and already frustrated, which- Giving them the courage to stand up wasn't a bad idea, even if the execution left room for improvement in her opinion. ]

Glad to know people get it about family though. My actual family and I are, uh. Not on the best terms, so I was on my own for a long while. Being here has been kind of nice though, making friends and even people I now consider family.

[ The compliment on her voice throws her off a little though, so she gives a small laugh-squeak about it. ] -Well! That's nice of you to say. Considering I'm trying to make it again as a singer, good to know I still got it.

We also weren't exactly provided an opportunity to game plan as a large group when it came to the mission on the train. The classism was meant to divide us as it always does, particularly after we came from a city where were are all treated equally for the most part. [He didn't fault the Dregs for rising up, but he didn't approve of the rioting that waylaid actual progress for the mission. They should have worked faster to unite the classes.]

I understand. That's a lot of families where I'm from. Still, people find each other and make the most of it, and that's all that can be expected. How long have you been in Etraya?

[A singer, huh? Well, he filed that information away.] And do you perform around these parts? I'd attend a venue.

That's a fair point. I was an Elite, but I tried to still talk to and help out people I knew who were Dregs. It wasn't easy though, that's for sure. [ Although allowed to get away with a lot, she was still gathering information. Too much mingling with the 'rabble' and people stopped talking to her too. ]

I've been here for... Jeez, like nine? Ten months now, I think? It kind of doesn't feel real sometimes. [ Not in a bad way, just... reflecting on how she felt in the beginning to where she is now. ]

I don't have my own venue yet but I am working on it! For now, it's just been kind of giving private performances for friends to make sure I'm up to snuff for an actual showing.

Unfortunately, the class divide was purposeful to keep us divided. It would have taken considerable group efforts between all the classes to even the odds for what that place had going. We didn't have the time. [Things were rigid between the classes too, which increased the difficulty to coordinating.]

I've been here almost three months now. It's been quite the experience. [He couldn't say he liked it nor that he hated it. It was mostly uncomfortably different.] Have you made any progress on knowing if the threat to our worlds is truth or a gimmick?

[He hummed in acknowledgement.] You'll get there, and when you do, I'll come watch you show your talents.

Yeah. [ They were. Gorgug did see her once or twice, but he had to get through layers of security and have clearance from her to do so. Some of the other elites didn't seem to want to extend the courtesy. ] It never feels like we really do have enough time with these missions, honestly. After going through at least a couple of them, I've started to wonder if maybe that's also intentional on Echo's part. Put us under a time crunch to see what we can do.

Still newer though! At my three month mark, we had a like... evil void entity invade for a bit. It was pretty rough, so- All things considered? I'm just glad it hasn't been worse for you. [ Some of them were still a little traumatized from all that, which- Understandably so. ]

As for our worlds, it's hard to say. I... I'm not sure I believe it, myself, but we also don't have any proof otherwise. Nothing concrete yet, anyway. I know some people are trying to find evidence though.

In the meantime, it's not much, but I can hopefully sing though and give people a nice show now and again to enjoy! I'll look out for ya' in the audience for sure.

I also assume the lack of time to perform is part of the challenge, to see how we work well under pressure and also how we form groups to work with or against each other.

[For all the people that he had talked to, this did seem to be a similar sentiment that was across most of the groups. It was strange to consider that their performance within those time crunches and rushed circumstances could make or break the survival of their worlds.]

No, though it's easy to discount the threat when we don't know if it's real or fantasy. I think want to find out for certain, not that it will change much of how I will act.

Well, I do wish you the best with all the venues. I'm a big guy, so I tend to stand out in a crowd.

[ It does seem to be the case, doesn't it? She can only agree to that, honestly. She's wondered why their time frames were so short, occasionally, but it makes sense that it's to push them to act faster than they might otherwise. Forge alliances or cross people to 'succeed'- Ugh. She hates it though. ]

Same for me, honestly. I mean- My world was going to go on without me anyway, but! That doesn't mean I'd want it to decline just because I'm gone.

[ It's not a secret anymore about her untimely demise back home. She knows what she can do about it here, maybe, and the best option so far seems to stay put. ]

Good to know! I'll even sing a special something for you if you let me know your favorite genre. Gives me practice with widening my range!

[He appreciated her thoughts on the matter.]

Agreed. My world will continue without me, and that's fine. My job is to allow those who will go on the opportunity to live their lives.

[After all, from his perspective, he had died. The world and even some of the people from his world here confirmed that he had left behind a small legacy but otherwise, they would find their own path forward. That was all that they could ever do.]

Well, just sing me your favourite, and I expect that I'll like it.

[ They're in the same boat there, then. From what she remembers, she also had died or... would, she guesses? Considering what she does recall of her last moments before Etraya, she doesn't know how she'd live through what was happening.

So, it's reassuring to hear she isn't alone in her attitude. A lot of people seemed concerned with her being able to go back and keep on living, but- It's fine if she doesn't. She was just one person in the grand scheme of things. ]

Oh, man, you're making me pick a favorite? Well, good thing I've got some time to consider it since that might be tough to pick just one.

The alternative is that you sing me all your favourites, which I will not refuse.

[It felt like it had been awhile since he had seen a live performance, and at this point, he just wanted to simplicity of it. Sounded like a good time.]
