what do you do when something you were told, turns out not to be true anymore? not true here? when you have more time than you thought. i didn't have to really think about the future. but here, i don't have to worry. i can plan. i mean, besides helping on missions.

yes! the baby chocobo chicks are really cute! we rode them sometimes. if we were going further out, we'd usually take an airship, but sometimes we would ride the chocobos.

[Vivi hasn't been the most secretive about it. He's not sure there's reason to hide it, beyond that it might upset or worry people.]

i heard there's a ranch or that some people keep them. do you think you would want to keep one?

or there's cats in the city

keep one? you think i could? i guess i hadn't thought about something like a pet. but i was going to ask about maybe seeing if i could help out there at the stables?

cats are cute, too.

she's nice. she used to work at a library and is like a teacher

you could just go to the ranch too. i don't know who hangs out there

i used to want to raise a pet when i was younger. a big bird would have been cool

mayuko? i was told to see someone named cloud there. but i guess he might be working or helping there as well? i haven't had a teacher before that mission where i went to school.

oh, then there's a library with books like that you can go to here

it's not far from the apartments. i'll tell the guy who hangs out there to help you look around for good books. his name is john and there's a harold there too

you can get story books or learning books. they let you borrow them

i can take as many books as i want? i haven't been to a library to know how it works. i just read them and bring them back after?

yeah. you go in and take a book or whatever you want to take and then when you're done, you take it back

that's how it works here. do you want me to check with the people who take care of it?
