Assuming the Fae of Auriel share the same aversion to iron as those of the Feywild from where I am from, I am offering to craft temporary weapons and tools from non-iron materials for anyone preparing for the mission. My trade lies in metalwork, with modest skill in wood and leather. Brass, bronze, bone, horn, or seasoned wood are all suitable.
Time before departure is limited, so I can only take a few commissions.
Separately, I am pursuing a personal project involving spell storage and glyphcraft. If anyone has experience in such work, I would appreciate a private exchange of ideas.

I've no need of a weapon, but may I inquire as to what you mean by "spell storage"?

I do not have the magic to charge them myself, but I can make the casings and the conduits strong enough to hold the binding without it leaking or collapsing. Think of it as building the bottle for someone else’s lightning.

In my world, I am Warden of Light, so I've an abundance of my element.

I will not claim to trust you more than the arcanists I have collaborated with. Some of them could take down a mountain if they sneezed incorrectly, and I have seen enough magical catastrophes to respect the danger. But I do trust you differently. You think before you act. You aim before you release. That is precisely the sort of temperament I need if we are going to test something that might vaporise the table.
Let me put together a small casing. Nothing dramatic, only layered channels and containment grooves strong enough to hold a first attempt. If your aether settles into it without burning through the inscriptions, then we will know we can push further. If it behaves poorly, at least we will have the sense to step back before it becomes a lecture on what not to do.
I admit I am looking forward to this. There is something remarkable about working with someone who commands light itself, even if my part in it is little more than carving the bottle for your sun.
Please tell me how your aether behaves when you call on it. Does it spill outward, does it gather, does it sharpen? The vessel must suit the character of the force if it is to hold it at all.

It responds to my will. I would say I draw upon and give it form, though it requires little more than intent. Because I was a soldier, and I was my peoples' shield against its greatest threats, it has long been essential to act quickly. Unfortunately my light has ever been bent toward force, for this was what was necessary I bring to bear against such threats.
Having said this, I've freedom here my circumstances did not afford me. I have been experimenting with healing, as it falls within the domain of light magic in my world, and have thus far been successful. Nothing on the level of the Phoenix, mind, for he is in a league of his own, but the results are promising at least.
If it can be done with light, given time, there may be more I am capable of. But to cut to what I believe to be the crux of your query, I've control enough over my aether for the precision your proposal requires.
