Greetings fellow Etrayans,

I write to you because I am in need of information or assistance. My horse has arrived, and as I live in the apartments, it is not suitable for her to live with me. What are the appropriate options for housing and caring for a horse here in Etraya?

I know the wild horses that arrived in February run free and are looked after, to some degree, by Aurora's assistants. However, provided access to the right resources, I am perfectly capable of caring for Kai myself and would like to do so.

Communications from people who know about this matter would be appreciated.

Yeah, I have a badger-mole named Oma. I don't mind the apartments, but it's nice to live somewhere she can have enough space to really stretch out.

A horse is like a chocobo, right? A mount animal that you saddle up and ride? I've got a chocobo ranch with stables. If horses are similar, you can rent stable space here.

Sure. Come by for a tour if you want. Rentwise, you can help out around the place or make an exchange. Some people shovel shit, some trade food or crafts, some help me out on missions or with personal projects, whatever you've got to offer.

My primary skills are as a swordsmith and swordsman. I also know how to properly care for horses. I've made kitchen knives and other items as well. If there's any steel items you are in need of, I am willing to trade in that kind. However, I am also willing to help with manual labor or on other projects.

It would appear that Cloud's ranch may accommodate your horse, but should you have need of additional options, the monastery Clive and Joshua reside in has stables as well.

I am glad to hear of multiple options. Should multiple be suitable, I will select whichever option Kai prefers. It will be her home.

Where is the monastery? What religion does it serve? I haven't come across it yet.

'Tis not a religion I am familiar with, though it would seem dragons were an object of worship. As I understand it, the monastery's original keepers are here no longer, but one of them had offered Clive and Joshua space to reside there. It quite resembles a fortress, in my view.

Oh, that is conveniently close to Alcyone's Wake and the apartments in particular.

Are you close with Clive and Joshua and as such could guide them to my post? Or perhaps, do you know a preferred means of communication for them?

That it was. I knew not the man, but Clive has mentioned him prior. Evidently all he asked was that the chapel not be defaced.

I can notify Clive and Joshua both. Their network names are "CliveRosfield" and "Phoenix", respectively. They are brothers, so either should be well capable of making arrangements to meet you.

Your horse would be allowed on the farm. There's a barn and some other farm animals there already, so she wouldn't be on its own.

Adults are only allowed on the property to do work, so if you wanted to see her you'd have to do something useful in exchange.

While I haven't worked on a farm, I've helped tame and take care of horses. I'm familiar and capable at those chores. Similar ones would be no issue. How much work per visit do you request?

Whenever you're at the farm. Adults aren't allowed to slack off, you assholes have all of Etraya where you can do that.

[Etraya is an extremely adult-friendly space. He's pretty sure he's even seen a strip club around.]

The point of the farm is that it's a space for kids first, so adults aren't allowed to just hang around for fun.

[ There's the confirmation that Accelerator is not an adult. The policy, in general, was a sign, but nothing like 'you assholes' to carry it out. Mizu hardly disagrees. Etraya is entirely about doing whatever it is you want when not on a mission. She would say that applies to children as well as adults, but she will not deny there are, in her experience, far more adults than children. If one of them finds something lacking here (she remembers Junpei mentioning school), then she believes them. She's not a child, after all, and her childhood did little to allow her to evaluate what someone else might find lacking for children. ]

And if I wish to enter, do chores for Kai, or ride her away from the farm? Does that meet your policy or even be preferable to doing additional labor on the farm?

If you’re still looking for somewhere for your horse, we have stables at Garreg Mach that you are more than welcome to use. We do currently have some chocobos so they aren’t completely empty, but there is still plenty of space.

Choosing the right place for Kai is important to me, so I am interested in checking out a few options. Then I will choose between those that are able to meet Kai's needs, should there be more than one. I would appreciate being able to check out the stables at Garreg Mach. What would you want in exchange for housing Kai there? I would of course provide all her care and for all her needs.

you have a horse too? i know there are some farms around here where people seem to usually keep them. [which is not where she had been keeping hers but helios seemed to feel more comfortable around the dropship where she lives outside anyways]
