Hello? I think this should be working. I've mostly been using this to write to people. But um. I'm Keyleth. If you know Vax, or Percy, they might have mentioned me, I'm a friend from back home. One of our Vox Machina group. I just figured since I've been here a bit, I should probably like, introduce myself properly or whatever. If anyone sees me Wildshape, please don't be scared? I can transform into different animals. Most often, it's usually a bird, so I can fly, or a sabertooth. That's probably me if you see one of those around. So uh. Don't be scared or attack me or anything?

Also, if there's like some sort of public gardens or something? I think I'd like to help with something like that. I've always been good with plants. I can heal, a little, but I'm no cleric like Pike or anything.

[She doesn't mind helping out where she can, but. Just. Putting that out there. She's no expert in regards to healing.]

You think so? I'm sure you got there, too. I mean. Look at you now. Even if we didn't have anything like this back home. It's useful. Important, I think. To learn to use this sort of thing.

[To be able to talk to one another when apart. It's handy. Sure, certain spells could help communicate over a distance, but those weren't quite the same as something like this. Keyleth might have taken time to figure it out and practice, but still. She's getting there.]

They do? Oh. So they should still work if we leave on these missions? That's good!

[ Vax isn't unintelligent by any means, but it's clear his sister is the sharper one.

When it comes to the Matron's powers, he doesn’t see it as learning a new ability. Mastering his new powers was more instinctual. Like he was meant to have them. ]

They can, so long as the mission allows it. Sometimes, they don't.

So it can vary? I guess it'd just be back to our usual methods, without these, then.

[Nothing they weren't used to handling. Being without such technology. But she supposes that might be more of an issue for others who rely on them and are far more used to these devices in comparison.]

I didn't think it was that unusual or unique. But I guess it might be, at least to some extent. I'll maybe, eventually, get used to explaining and answering people's questions. But thank you. It helps. Knowing others are familiar at least.

Most people in my experience are far more familiar with the sort of science and machinery that predominates here. Enough so that we're outliers. I think there's three people or so I haven't had to explain the concept of planar cosmology to.

It sure seems like it. Not that it's a bad thing! I mean. I'm seeing and doing and learning a lot! But it's still kind of nice to know there are some others you don't have to keep answering questions? You know?

Clive would likely welcome assistance with the plants at the monastery. I believe those in the greenhouse there, in particular, may have more exacting needs than most of us are accustomed to.

i'm sure that will be great! i can help the plants and crops grow and make sure they're healthy and cared for. even if some i might not be as familiar with, the basics can't be too different. that they need sunlight and water and soil.

In my limited experience, such needs have been consistent. The differences lie with what kind or in what measure their needs come in.

Have you perchance met a woman named Aerith? I believe you share an interest in plants.

yes! we met at the amusement park and did some of the rides and stuff together. she took me to the gardens there.

Hi Darleen. Oh, um, I can speak with animals, yes. It's one of the spells I have as a druid, along with my Wildshape.

[Keyleth isn't sure how familiar that sort of ability might be to others here, but she is at least trying to tell them about it. To make sure they are cautious, so she doesn't accidentally get attacked or something.]

I've seen some gardening work on the rooftop of the apartment building...do you think such a spot would work? Or is it better for things to be properly on the ground?

Mm, that depends on the plant or crop, I guess. Some roots go further down and would need to be in the ground rather than potted or that sort of thing. But rooftops could work and would be good for the height meaning they'd get more sunlight!

Junpei wanted to try growing some smaller crops for people, in the event there was shortage elsewhere. If you've expertise in the like, perhaps I could connect you?
