Welcome to our bi-monthly CHIRPER post!

There are a few ways to interact with CHIRPER:

• Characters receive a notification to please fill out the form, which is fully optional. There is a character requirement of two characters per answer field. This is to discourage leaving the spaces blank.
• When forms are not filled out, they can be filled out by the companion bots of Etraya, or by other characters on behalf of their friends! This includes the Q&A section.
• Characters can either like ✅ or dislike ❌ others' CHIRPER profiles. These responses are public.
• This is voluntary on an OOC basis; if the character doesn't have a profile completed by themselves or anyone else, nothing shows up for them on CHIRPER.
• For those who do post a top level, profiles are worth 5 extra points regardless of if they are put up willingly by the character themselves. These 5 extra points do apply to the 25 maximum per month.

Q: How do you personally feel about being asked to prove your world’s worth?
A: Determined. It has not yet reached its apex. It would be a shame to destroy it before that point, or ever.

Q: Describe a time you made a mistake. What did you learn from it?
A: Don’t leave the Capital.

Q: If given the choice to leave Etraya tomorrow, would you? Why or why not?
A: I think I’ve learned my lesson. I wouldn’t leave. As much as I’m needed back there, this is clearly an even higher stakes mission. I could fix one problem just for it to all catch aflame? No. I cannot let that be.

Q: It's time for spring cleaning! Which domestic chore do you dislike the most?
A: Scrubbing anything on my hands and knees.

What’s the appeal of living in the hospital?

I’m a doctor, so it’s near my work. And there are meals prepared there by the bots. Also, it’s quieter than the apartments.

Oh, another one of those live-to-work types. Admirable profession, though. Do you get many people through?

Ah, but you want a doctor who lives to work. You should see some of my colleagues. They always get sloppy after they’ve gotten married and started to have children.

Not as many patients as I’d like. Everyone is so suspicious for some reason or another. But I was advised by one of the children that this was a good way to build trust, by talking here and letting people “get to know me”.

It honestly stuns me how frequently no one acts like any of this is their problem. The stakes aren’t even mysterious. The consequences are dire.

Engineering, science and all related subjects. I tend to dabble in whatever suits the situation or if get the inkling to try something new. Mainly engineering though. Developing new technologies is something I focus on for my company.

Most of my associates call me Lex.

I am primarily a Thanatologist. I study death, of course, in order to understand it and uncover the secrets of immortality. I’m no stranger to new technologies, and I happily embrace them in my efforts.

Are you part of the researcher’s club?

No, I tend to do my own thing, but I'm not against joining groups of like minded individuals. Networking always has it's uses.

May I ask if you feel you've gotten closer to discovering the secret of immortality?

I’ve just become acquainted with a few others. I was informed by it more than directly invited, but I won’t let that bruise my feelings.

If the Academy is asking, yes, absolutely. Without a doubt. Line up the grant money. If my assistant is asking… maybe. I was plucked from my time before I could fully investigate certain matters. I’m not quite sure yet how what I’ve learned will function, or to what capacity I could replicate it for others.

Ugh. I’m not earnestly. I’m just giving you a hard time about your sweater. But I’ve carried around more vomit and fluids than you could ever imagine.

If I’m scrubbing a floor, it usually means the worst possible thing. I’m in the morgue, by myself, and some corpse has turned, even on the cold table, and spilled out. A sequence of failures by many parties.

Just blood doesn’t bother me whatsoever anymore.
