[So getting used to this new kind of technology was certainly an⦠experience. He still isnāt really comfortable with the idea of a video recording of himself, and even an instantaneous voice transmission is beyond the level of tech heās accustomed to so text is the way to go. Unfortunately, heās using this like some sort of magical LinkedIn, so itās a very formal letter style heās got going on.]
Hello,
My name is Jayce Talis. Iāve noticed thereās a few buildings here that seem to be laboratories. If any have availability to lend a room or two, I have research and device development I would like to work on. Ideally if thereās any access to a forge of some sort, that would be preferred, but not required. I have a personal reference if necessary to demonstrate good character.
[He notably does not say anywhere that there will probably be explosions.]
Thank you for your time.

So the unemployed of Piltover work in the Zaun mines. Am I following?
no subject
No, no. Those are ours. We'll be mining them.
Piltover would have to find their own resources. Perhaps fishing would suffice? What else do you have?

Did I say that? You asked what my first action was for Piltover. Do you really want my multi-stage plan for Zaun once we are liberated? I may not have every word memorized, but I have a fair bit.

What resources we are able to gather will be used for our industry to economically support Zaun. The people who own such properties will be required to invest in the entirety of the undercity. Wages will be determined by governmental organization. Public works are under our control. If I had my way, we would properly clean the water, but we would need someone to invent something to that effect.
Were you aware that our people are brilliant? That we have the capability to supercede your academy, had we the resources? Our children build with garbage what yours could not even comprehend. Zaun will be a free place without restrictions for such things. Our limb replacements? Far better. Perhaps we'll find use fo the toxins you all have poured into our river yet.
I intend to see the sons and daughters of Zaun have more than simply runoff.
[ Intended. ] But to do that, we clearly need to manifest our own future.

But no. He's entirely focused on raising Zaun up, it seems. Like he couldn't give a single shit to what Piltover does.
Maybe Silco's expecting sass in return, spurned for his concession of a plan. Instead he's met with Jayce's thoughtful silence.
Imagine the wonders they could create if we put magic in their hands...
They could have been working together. They could have made this work.]
It's a beautiful dream, Silco.

It's all about time, and place.
Time and place determine everything. Silco and Vander's first attempt at a revolution came too early for Piltover to see how sick their treatment of the undercity had become. Their first attempt started all of it. Would he have ever been as fully committed had he been without the fallout from it?
Would they be able to do something good, had they been able to wait? Or had it always needed the strength they found from Shimmer? Had they needed a genius like Jinx, a firebrand like Vi, Silco's careful plans, Sevika's muscle, and yes, Jacye and Viktor's Hextech to make it work? Would there have been a reality where it could have all intersected just right?
Maybe. But that wasn't their world, was it? ]
I'm glad you agree. It's just a shame it will never come to pass. At least my vision of it. We were never given the opportunity.

[He doesn't know. He's so at odds with himself on where he stands with the Councilā wanting to resign, wanting to stay on to finish what he started, finish what so many of them have tried to start... It would be a long, tedious journey down political lanes that heās not even good at. And infuriatingly enough, without Silco⦠he doesnāt know if it would stick, on Zaunās side. This rat of a man made himself vital, the vision incarnate with passion and planning. Does anyone else down there even feel that way, anymore? Or do they just want revenge, like Jayce assumed?
But what is Jayce if not hopeful?]
I don't know my fate any more than the rest of us. I don't know if I can help. But if I can try, I will.

[ It's not pointed, it's a reminder. Silco doesn't have a choice or a future. No matter what happens here, he's not returning. He's not coming back.
He's dead. It's up to the rest of them now. ]
I will hold you to that. Don't think just because I won't come back with the rest of you that I won't make sure of it.
