so new people showing
hi everyone! I'm Kate, or Hawkeye
there's a lot of younger people in the mix as well
before the adults get involved and start poo pooing the idea of *kids* saving the world
I'm sure mine isn't the only one that's been saved by the younger gen a time or two
anyway
I've found a building here that is basically mine from home
my home
it's marked as Bishop Publishing
any teens or 20 somethings need a place to hangout
it's open
there's several games, an archery range, gym, and a lot of other things that can be used to either train or just relax
[address of building here]
feel free to join us
it's all good

I was expecting Monopoly or Candyland, but colour me intrigued.
This is a good idea, by the way.
no subject
but no, video games
it's always good to have some place to hang out and relax between saving the world
no subject
You know, I always wanted to see what the inside of a Wards headquarters looked like. The versions in TV shows never seemed that accurate.
no subject
there's room for training
an archery room for when I get bored
a kitchen and some rooms for the team
room to add more to it as we need as well

I promise to keep the gawking to a restrained minimum.
no subject
but that's another part of this
I think it's good to have some space where everyone can just be normal with no pressure for anything
no subject
But seriously. I'll be cool. I'm mostly showing up to monopolize your gaming system.
no subject
but I call first match

While you studied the bow, I studied the controller.
no subject
and if the bow isn't your thing there are other weapons around instead

You take pride in such weird things, Marik.]There's nothing wrong with board games. They can be equally as entertaining as electronics.
no subject
Any examples?
no subject
It's quite interesting and exciting to see how your opponent will combat your moves and vice versa.
no subject
But you're right. I'll concede that. Some games played on boards are better than others.
no subject
But I'm glad you can see they aren't as mind-numbing as you initially stated.
[He's not aware of... the more childish games of nowadays. Someone needs to introduce him to Monopoly and watch him rage.]
no subject
I play Go and chess. I think they're in the same line as the games you were talking about. If we ever end up with an afternoon to kill, maybe we could organize a board game night that doesn't suck.

Let me know if she's got Blastomatic 3000.
no subject
Will do. I've never heard of it, but I'm guessing...farming simulator?
no subject
Retro first-person shooter, actually.

So much for my turnip rearing dreams. How does it compare to Doom?
no subject
It's been ages since I played it. It's a console game, so no mods or piping in your own tunes. I guess that means Doom wins.
no subject
Doom generally does. Still. It sounds interesting.
This may be getting ahead of myself, but I wonder if there's a way to tie consoles into the network. If more of them show up, maybe we could get some online multiplayer going.
no subject
We probably could. Have you seen any computer stores? I’m pretty good with home networks.
no subject
I haven't so far. One of several conspicuously missing amenities. Not that I'm complaining about the free portable platforms we've got, but it'd be nice to have a desktop.
